Perfect boat for a pool. Runs great and battery life is decent. Wish there was a second battery supplied since the charger takes quite some time to charge.

Super fun and cheap entertainment for the wife and kids. They work well and are actually pretty fast. For $39 you can’t beat it.

I’ve bought about 700 of these because my dogs love to chase them in the pool :)

UPDATE: I think I figured out why so many Reviews say 'DOA' or stopped working, etc. The Boat seems to NOT enter a dormant state when not used. I drive around from place to place to drop the boat in to move invasive wildlife and that time not in use was draining the battery fast. So now, I just open hatch and unplug the battery and reconnect when I need to use it again. Each time is about 5 minutes of action and I get about 6 uses before I need to switch out batteries, and I bought the spare batt for about $18 total and it charges in my car in about 2 hours. 90 minutes on my Mac's USB port. **Now the boat is running at about 1/2 the speed, I can't know why. Again, I got this for very heavy use, daily for commercial purposes just to test if it makes wildlife react. Now I can look at $500 boats since I know this works. I'll admit...I got this because it's cheap and I wanted to see how wildlife would react to it for nuisance management. The ONLY complaint is a couple tiny drops of water in the motor compartment - which did not effect the performance. And it was literally a couple drops. Now I know it works, and I will look into a very high end boat - $500-$1000 range. Mostly I'm impressed how they built all the most basic essential features and tech into such an affordable kit. Instructions were very very good, although I would proof-read correct a few phrases, you can tell it was not written by English-native speaker, that's OK because the context and grammar were perfect. It was VERY hard to find a listing that specifically stated 'variable control' because I don't want a speed boat, I want control. I like the rudder adjust in real time from the remote. Even wind can throw off the even-keel straight direction, because this is light as a feather. I only got about 6 events out of 1 charge so I just ordered a 2nd battery for $17. My car's USB didn't charge it to green-light in 90 min. but my Mac's USB did. Batt placement is a little 'loose' and next to prop shaft inside, that's ok because it didn't seem to affect the performance. I love the slow-slow throttle on the return so I can ease it back to port and had no issues running into concrete pier. Plus I was able to navigate through the muck and weeds elsewhere so I could reach in and grab it. I would've given it 5 starts but I wanted to get the attention of the makers so they could work on the hatch-seal some. I also compared other RF range models for a lot more that had less controller range. That's 450 feet in the video. It's a tiny boat but the rooster tail and zig-zag control is what has the desired effect for me anyways.

This thing is fun! Worked great right out of the box. The only bad part is I had to share it with my kids.

The advertised features are nice, but there are other features that make this a surprisingly premium device for the price. The only thing really separating this from entry level hobbyist grade is parts availability. 1. Auto pairing remotes The remotes bind automatically every time a boat is powered on, so you don't have to constantly keep track of which remote is for which boat. Flip one remote one, flip one boat on, it automatically binds, and the subsequent boats also automatically bind. 2. Progressive throttle and steering Both the throttle and rudder are progressive analog controls, meaning you have a wide range of control over input, not just digital style on/off left/right. The remotes even have trim dials. Brilliant. 3. 2 way remote It is mentioned in the features but it is worth pointing out it is true two way communication, the boat reports battery and signal strength back to the remote and the remote alarms accordingly. Really crazy feature for the price. 4. Extra prop, nut, and tool The boat comes with an extra propeller and locking nut to secure it, as well as a basic tool to facilitate field repair. 5. USB style Charger has red green LED The included charger has an unambiguous red/green LED to indicate charging status. No confusing "blinking vs not blinking" or "illuminated vs not illuminated" indicator setup. These less known features combined with the overall performance, lighting and reasonable durability make this a crazy great boat for the price point.

I would give it 5 stars but the lights in the sides stopped working And now it has a squealing sound like a bad bearing or busing We have been very careful to no get water inside but it does get damp so when done playing with it we take out the battery and lay the boat over a ac vent till next time it’s used AMENDMENT: This company stands behind their product. Do to my low rating they reached out and replaced the boat. These little boats are a ton of fun. PLEASE BUY FROM THEM!!!! It’s a very fast fun boat for its price range AMENDMENT #2: the drive hub spun out and now boat doesn't move even though motor is spinning. This seems to be a common issue with these types of boats. I wish they offered replacement parts because the boat is still in great shape and a lot of fun for my grandson to run, it's a easy fix if they only offered replacement parts I could make it work
