I have two small dogs from a rescue group, at 6 and 7 lbs respectively. One of them just LOVES to bark at anything that moves and is not yet well socialized. She is also a "soft" dog, meaning that I can't use an electronic collar because that would just be too much for her and may cause a lot of fear.So, I tried out this collar on her. It works! She barked once and it buzzed. She barked again but much softer and it buzzed. Then she quit barking. I sure wish I had something like this over the years for my other small dogs that barked like crazy. It's humane.However, I thought long and hard about how I would rate this product. 4 stars? 5 stars? It works, BUT as stated I have really small dogs. This collar was absolutely huge on her, to the point that the prongs don't sit anywhere near her vocal cords, but much more on the outside of her (admittedly very skinny) neck. The prongs on her are very long and she doesn't have much in the way of fur on her neck (part Italian Greyhound), so I'm afraid of leaving it on her for any length of time because she won't be able to lay her head down comfortably. This would not be a problem at all on a larger dog, but it gives me pause on her. So, we train with the collar at the times she's most likely to start barking, like when someone passes by the living room window. So far, so good! Blessed silence!

We purchased this collar for our special needs rescue bully. We adopted her right after the courts released her from a cruelty case and she understandably get spooked very easily. She is very sensitive so we were looking for something that wouldnt hurt or scare her, just interrupt her barking spells.The good? Simple, easy, and humane. She is 70lbs and has a huge neck, it fits her fine. It does slip around a bit, but that hasn’t stopped it from working. It works decently for her. I wouldn’t say perfectly, but it has helped snap her out of her spells occasionally. She has been barking less, even when the collar is not on her.The not so good? As a bulldog, she snores, and the collar is triggered by that. Frequently, she barks at night, so we wanted her to wear it then, but she is unable to because it corrects her when she’s sleeping. The collar also goes off when she and the other dogs bark, even if it’s not on her. Several times it has been laying next to the bed and they will bark when my husband comes in and the collar beeps and vibrates.Do we recommend? Sure, it can’t hurt. It is an adequate tool to use with other methods of training/medication/positive reinforcement. I don’t think it would work for more stubborn dogs, ours is very sensitive and timid. It’s not expensive, so I think it’s worth a try.

The collar arrived well packed, with complete instructions and even a spare battery. It uses an odd shaped battery so you may even want to buy a couple spares. I will test the unit soon on my 45lb standard poodle and will update on how effective it is, but my guess is it will quiet things down quickly.UPDATEJust started to use the collar with my standard poodle. It only took a couple of bars for her to figure out what that beep was. It is great as now she can stay outside when she wants but not disrupt the neighborhood. The size of this fits my 45 lb poodle and 12 lb Bichon friese

Worked well with our Malamute after we moved. He was really uncomfortable in his new surroundings and would bark incessantly through the night. I was surprised that this worked well to get him to stop. The issue is that the battery life is terrible. The first one went after a week and a half (more barking) and the backup battery lasted maybe two weeks. The collar makes an annoying beep to signal low battery... which drove him crazy... ironically making him bark again. He's comfortable now in his new surroundings... so the collar isnt needed. I was impressed at first. But the battery life is pretty abysmal.

My youngest dog is a barker, he barks at anything and everything all throughout the day. I had purchased a shock collar in the past and immediately regretted my decision and was unable to use it on my baby. Had I known these type of no shock vibration collars existed I could of saved myself some money and regret. Setup was super easy, it already came with the collar strung into the bark box so I only had to adjust it to his size. If you have a smaller dog you can cut the excess off and burn the edge with a lighter to keep from fraying. It comes with 2 batteries and longer prongs to switch outfor longer haired dogs. I also like that it comes with 4 interchangeable face plates: Blue, Pink, Orange, and Yellow. I immediately put this to the test and by the time the mailman came by I got to see just how well it would work. I used it at level 3 to start. The collar lets off a warning beep twice before the vibrations come with continued barking. My dog did get startled the first time it vibrated but it literally took that one time and he did not bark after hearing that beep other then one time a few days later when he was caught off guard by our cat!! I can even just lay the collar on the table and just him seeing it will keep his barking at a minimal. I'm so glad I made the leap to purchase this. I don't have any regret and it doesn't harm my dog. I do hope to continue training so that eventually a bark collar is not needed but for now this is what is needed and works better then I had anticipated! Overall nice design and works great.

I read that the collar was for 5 lb dogs and up but then AFTER I purchased the collar I read further down in the description that it is NOT recommended for small dogs. We have an 8.5 lb miniature poodle. The collar seemed to work but I feel guilty like it is harming her. We used the small prongs but the collar has to be snug to fit properly and I could feel them poking into her neck and she looked so sad and uncomfortable. Wish I would have caught the part about it not being for small dogs (but still really confused why they advertised for small and large) Mixed messages for sure. Although it did startle her and lessen her barking, it’s not a good choice for us and honestly I’m not sure that the prongs rubbing into a large dog’s neck would be any more comfortable?

I thought it works but the dog get accustomed to the vibration & sound ...

Does not work on my mini schnauzer. His barking became more frequent after wearing this
