How much horsepower gain

I'm a Toyota master tech and I have 2 Corollas, an 09 (my sons) and a 10 (My commuter) and have done it on both cars. Most noticeable will be the fuel mileage increase. At best you're going to see a gain of 6-8 hp. It will be most prevalent in mid range at the cars peak power point 3200- 4200 rpm. I highly recommend the K&N drop in filter and skip the cold air intake as all the kits seem to place the air filter right in the open heat of the engine bay thusly being counter productive. If your car has more that 40k on it I highly recommend going to your local dealer and doing the fuel injection service, (the one where they run the car off the can of cleaner), and an upper intake decarb service to get the most out of your mods. Keep in mind unless you invest serious coin in a turbo, (Or just get a WRX like my weekend car), gains on a normally aspirated car will be minimal. The Corolla automatic trans is not well suited to turbo upgrades unless you also invest in a torque converter and a valve body. On a budget, the Borla with K&N is a great start. Check out the TRD lowering springs, sway and cross over bars, (All of it is in both of mine). For not a lot of money you can have a very fun little car.

How do I make this fit for a 2009 le model. I don't want to cut or weld anything. Any suggestion in terms of buying a part of something?

You can put it on without cutting anything however it will sit against the bumper and melt it, really not too big of a deal, however I'd recommend making a small cut in the bumper where it will sit.

I have a 2010 le model that i will be installing this on should i go purchase some of these long hangers or just rely on the install shop?

No need to buy more than what it comes with. Bolt on is perfect fit on my 2010 S. Should try to install yourself took me 30 mins.
