Insightful and a bit inspiring too!
This was a really terrific autobiography. The quality of the written English was very high and it was a pleasure to read. Additionally, the content given by Sir Vivian is fantastic - you can really feel an underlying strength to his character and a somewhat inspiring sense of self-respect and determination. He also tells many humorous anecdotes and gives fantastic insights into other famous cricketers of the time - particularly his pal Ian Botham but also many others including Joel Garner, Malcolm Marshall, Andy Roberts, Michael Holding, Dennis Lillee, Jeff Thompson, Ian Chappell and Imran Khan. After reading this book I certainly feel like I know a lot more about cricket during the 70's and 80's! Would definitely recommend this one to ALL cricket lovers!

Sir VIV!
Great honest read, and Sir Viv really shows how strong he is mentaly as a great cricketeer. His psycho warfare with the Aussies in this book, clearly shows why he succeeded asthe MASTER BLASTER! One up for ANTIGUA
