Didi is 10 and has some arthritis in her knee. The snow and ice have been particularly hard for her this year. Even though she loves her walks, she was very resistant to going out in the cold. She acclimated to the boots within minutes and pranced her way out the door! She LOVES them!! I take the boots off and her feet are warm and dry, even after coming out of deep snow.I took one star away, because if you are not very careful, they can slip off. You *must* make the straps *very* tight. I do a slight tug on the boot to ensure it won't come off. We almost lost one the first time - I had to double back to find it. I think if they came a little higher on the leg, it would be easier to secure. Regardless, I am very happy with them and Didi is now fully enjoying her walks again. These boots are a great value for the price and my only regret is not getting them sooner.

My 70 pound golden retriever wears a size 7. He HATES them, and on day one it took about an hour to get him to walk around in them. Now he hides under the table when it is time to put them on. However, I really like them. Last year, every time it snowed he would get ice formed in between the pads of his feet, which we then had to dig out. His paws were always red and sore. This has completely eliminated the problem. However, after a few wears, they are starting to truly stink. Hopefully I can find a way to wash them to get rid of the smell, but I'm not sure. They generally stay on well, but occasionally they will get turned around. If they aren't on tight enough, they will fall of (or be tugged off).

The media could not be loaded.  These little boots are life savers I tell you, LIFE SAVERS. My fur child has sensitive paw and the coldness from the snow in addition to the salt on various sidewalks has him doing a balancing act between the front and hind paws. By the time he gets our front door he only wants in. This last storm we received well over a foot of snow and as much as he loves playing in it, he was quickly back at the front door ready to come in. I instantly went online and did the research. I compared more than several brands and finally choose this brand. As instructed I measured his front as well as his back paws. I watched him walk just to see how much his paws spread out when they are in movement. I took the extra measures to avoid the possibility of rubbing or blisters. No need to add additional problems. The boots arrived quickly, Thank you! But now it was time to put them on. I put the first one on. He instantly looks at me with his WTH expression. No worries folks, I'm used to the look. Next, I put on the second boot; he is not happy! Not because the boots are ill-fitted, because he has plenty of room with an excellent fit, but more to the fact, he's not sure what to do or how to walk. So now it's time for boot 3 and 4. Now he looks at me with the WTF expression. Oh yes, he has it. Which at this point he is frozen in place and will not move. I knew at this point I would have to gently coach him with his favorite ball to get him going. Overall it took a while but we made it out for our morning walk. He likes them, but I love them!

We use these on our old standard poodle in really deep snow, and they did a great job. And when I say deep snow, I'm talking over 3 feet. Once in a while there was one that would fly off when he was running, but I found that if we tightened them really well before he got into the snow it wasn't a problem. These have totally eliminated the issue of ice and snow balling up between his toes. I would recommend them for an active dog. The only con, and the reason for a 3 star review is that the straps fray and come apart really quickly.

They stay on pretty well. The sizing chard was very accurate. But one problem is when my dog runs, the shoe will twist out of place or she will lose one shoe here or there. It helps quite a bit because my dog is allergic to grass. If all four stay on, that is one less part of the body I need to wipe down each time she comes back inside. When they eventually wear out (because they will get alot of use) I will definitely order another set. Overall satisfaction if very positive.

I used these for my dog for backpacking and one boot did turned around a few times and I will have to get socks for him because his pads were a little raw but would have been much worse if he did not have them on. They lasted well and did not show sines of wear so 4 star from me. You do have to make sure they are tight or they will fall off but it did not seam to cause him any discomfort having them tight.
