I ordered these for use with my sous vide machine. They work great! I put flat iron steaks in individual bags, gently submerged them to get the air out, sealed them, and my steaks cooked the same as if I had vacuum sealed them. After use, they cleaned up easily after soaking a few minutes in hot soapy water. I use the sous vide machine often, so these reusable bags will be so much less costly than replacing the rolls for my vacuum sealer.I would have given them 5 stars if they were available in a larger size. They won't fit a larger steak, like a t-bone or rib eye. If you're looking for bags for cooking sous vide, just keep this in mind. They work great for smaller cuts of meat and large individual (or 2 small) servings of vegetables.The folks at Lifestyle Dynamics, the sellers, are quite attentive, as well.

While I like the idea of these bags, I'm finding them to be very inconvenient on a daily basis. The seal aspect doesn't seem to work for longer periods of time, as my pretzels went stale within a week. Additionally, they are very hard to wash because they don't stand up with the bottom pleat extended in the dishwasher, so you have to wash by hand and turn inside out to dry. I find myself using more water because of this, which I'm not sure is a great trade off. Again, I like the idea, but they aren't fully developed for convenient daily use yet. On the flip side, their customer service is absolutely amazing, and they credited me a refund in less than 24 hours. I'll continue to shop from them and would recommend them.

Nice durable silicone food bags with a great size. I purchased them to replace my old Bumkins reusable sandwich bags as they got smelly after 2 years of frequent usage. I have been using these new silicone bags for a month now and am satisfied with this product. The pouch is easy to clean: I usually hand wash them and hang dry, or turn them inside out and put into dishwasher. The only thing I dislike is the sealing bar. They are too difficult to use for my 5 year old’s little hands. Other than that, I love these reusable sandwich bags.

These add bulk and weight to the lunch bags, considerably more than regular ziplocks. But I’m tired of so much waste (even though I routinely washed and reused the ziplocks too). They are indeed thick and sturdy as advertised. The sliding mechanism is a little hard to use, not as smooth as I’d like, but that may ease up with use as another reviewer stated. I haven’t found a way yet to properly position them in the dishwasher so that the bottom and the crease doesn’t collect dirty dishwasher water, so I’ve been hand washing, a bit of a negative for me. They do dry very quickly though, hanging upside down and propped open. But one major star off for the packaging. There is absolutely no need to INDIVIDUALLY WRAP EACH BAG IN PLASTIC!! Why wrap these at all???

Very sturdy so I’m hopeful they’ll last a long time. Sealing bar is a bit difficult to slide. OK for most adults, but not for kids or anyone with arthritis or grip issues. My only real disappointment was so much excess plastic packaging. I bought these to reduce my plastic waste but my 4-pack arrived individually wrapped in plastic, then all four were inside yet another plastic bag! So unnecessary! Wish the seller would switch to more eco-friendly wrapping instead!

I was skeptical at first, because they were hard to open and they looked small. But just a little use makes the sliders much easier, and they are so thick that you know the food is protected much better than in disposable plastic bags. They are very easy to wash by hand, and they dry quickly -- I cut a straw in thirds and prop it open with the straw piece. They expand a good bit, but they take up no room to store and a lot less space in the fridge or freezer than a hard container. If they came in gallon size I would buy a set of those too.

I'm very happy with these bags. They are durable and very useful. They will stand up on their own when filled. And the seal is very strong. At first, they will be a bit cranky to get the slider off, especially when frozen. But I put a bit of olive oil on the slider and that did the trick. Simply grab one end to hold and give the slider a good pull.I like the colors, but I think next time I'll buy all clear. That way it is easier to see what is inside, since my markers ink doesn't last long on the bag.

I like them a lot Just hope the slider holds up. So much better than using plastic bags for freezing and other storage needs. I used a lot of plastic bags in the past.
