UPDATE: I wanted to update after water test. I had to run through several large puddles through the rain this morning to get to an appointment. Nothing changed! Keep in mind that I ultimately used 4 layers on these shoes because of their condition, so that could have something to do with it. At any rate, the water didn't wash the cream way or fade it. Still as bright as the day I applied it!---------The sneakers in the photos are over 5 years old. I've used them when wood working, staining, and other art (as you can see from the bottom). I've recently developed heel spurs, and these old shoes are better than any of the new sandals and boots I've purchased, so I need them. I used Kiwi years ago on dress shoes, but the quality has gone down. This cream is what Kiwi used to be. It covered everything - the pleather (fake leather) and the cloth. These photos are after a second layer. I applied the first, let it soak in and dry, then applied another. I will probably go back with a small paintbrush to get the crevasses the applicator sponge couldn't get into, but I'm very happy with the results so far. The light grey lines you see were dark metallic silver, and the splotch you see in the last photo is black metallic spray paint drop. I didn't expect it to cover all of that, and I really didn't need it to. I just wanted to cover up all the dirt and grime and make them white again. It succeeded very well at its intended purpose! I saw other reviews complaining that it covered their colored parts of their shoes. Well ... it's white shoe repair. It's supposed to do that. If you don't want something white, don't use white "paint" on it. Definitely 10/10 recommend for now. I don't know yet how "waterproof" it is. Other reviews suggested it comes right off, but so far, testing a small section with bottled water didn't hurt it.

This didn't really go in very evenly and ended up looking a little patchy in spots. I don't know that I would repurchase this.

Makes your white athletic shoes looking like new. Easy to apply and drys fast. Looks tottally natural and pigment hides stains very good so that it needs only a second layer applied on heavy staining.This product is perfect because it doesn't dry looking like shoe polish it drys on as if they came right out of the shoebox. Will purchase again.

Product is amazing. Shoes look new after every application. Wish I knew of this product years ago!
