This product isn't bad, but there are better ones out there
I know that some people dislike this scent, but I thought that it was rather decent. If you are looking for a dry shampoo that has a more fragrant smell (rather than just a clean/dry smell that most have), then this product may be for you. It has a floral scent. Very feminine.Quality-wise I believe it is so-so.I don't like the consistency of the product or the way it sprays into my hair. I don't hate the product, but I don't think I would recommend it to a friend.

great substitute, if you just can't wash your hair
I'd never tried dry shampoo until recently, when a dorm-style "short-term residence" had to serve briefly as a home base. This adult "dorm" had shared bathrooms for a floor of women, all trying to shower before work/school. Some days I wasn't one of the lucky ones. Body wipes got the bod acceptable but didn't get my hair washed.A friend who'd used dry shampoos before luckily let me in on the concept. She'd used Batiste and told me it had worked well for her, but couldn't compare it with other brands. So, I went to a local drugstore that carried two brands, Batiste and Tresemme. I bought a can of each brand to see which, if either, would work for me. The store carried Batiste in Blush or Tropical; I wrist-spritzed and chose the Blush scent. The Batiste was the better of the two brands, imho. And furthermore worked a lot better than I expected *any* spray-on, brush-out "shampoo" to. My expectations were low, but as it turned out, I believe the Batiste would have stood up to them even if they had been high. It really brought my hair back to life. I once had to go 4 days without a wet wash, just Batisting daily, and it still looked clean on the fourth day.I probably used more Batiste each session than many people need to, as my hair is really, really thick and fairly long. One 6.73-oz can still lasted me maybe 10 "shampoos" (rough guess). Applying a fair amount of Batiste each time never made my hair sticky or powdery-looking or -feeling. It did remove (or, maybe, somehow neutralized) the excess oil and left my hair looking clean, glossy, reasonably, full and wavy again rather than limp/clinging. Also, normally when I have to skip a shampooing my natural chestnut highlights get too oil-darkened to see, but, after Batisting, they showed again.Note: Since I don't color or highlight my hair, I can't say if colored/highlighted hair responds differently to Batiste than mine did. I've only tried the Blush and given the Tropical a quick sniff off my wrist, so I can't really compare scents. (The Tresemme just didn't work well enough at cleaning for me to get to the point of worrying about how it made my hair smell, as opposed to look/feel.) I can say that the light floral Blush scent was fine by me. It's certainly no high-end liquid shampoo's, say, mouth-watering coconut-tropical smell of the sort that makes you wish you could drink shampoo like a smoothie. But I found it pleasant enough; and, more importantly, a truly huge improvement over unwashed-hair smell. The worst thing I can say about the scent is that it made my hair smell pleasantly clean, and is light enough that if it doesn't thrill you, it also probably won't offend.I did my hair in sections, spraying near the roots and finger-combing the product through from roots towards ends. Waited a bit, and then brushed the residue out using a dense-bristled but inexpensive brush. I brushed vigorously, and it didn't take long at all before there wasn't any trace of white residue to be seen in my hair, even though it's really dark and thick. (Finger-combing my hair down over my eyes kept me from seeing if any residue showed in my hair before I brushed it out. But it did all come out --or at least I couldn't see it after brushing. The brush bristles collected a fine white powder, but I just ruffled it out with my fingers (no sink in my room). And the little left on it didn't transfer back into my hair next time I used the brush. So all in all, Batiste really came through for me. I bought my first can because I had no choice but to dry-shampoo; I've since ordered more here on Amazon for those times when unexpected sweating into one's hair or the like requires a 'shampoo' between washings to keep one's hair looking clean and bouncy.

Does the job but...
This is the first dry shampoo I tried. My hair is really oily, so it gets oily after a day. I used to wash my hair every day, but now I've gotten into the habit of washing my hair every other day. When I was in my transition stage (from washing my hair every day to washing my hair every OTHER day) I planned to use Batiste. Unfortunately, the first time I used it, after a few hours, it caused my scalp to get irritated, itchy, and red. I decided to just wash my hair, and after I got out, large clumps of my hair fell out, more so than usual. I was absolutely horrified and threw away my bottle immediately afterwards. I don't know if it's just me being allergic, or if it's this dry shampoo (some bad chemical in it), but never again will I use this dry shampoo. After I stopped using it, my scalp quickly went back to normal and my hair didn't fall out as much after washing.I give it 2 stars because it at least did the job. It left a fine white powder on my hair (that took a while to get rid of), but the dry shampoo smelled really good, very strong and very flowery (I got Blush), which I like, and my hair didn't look oily. But that's it. The reaction (probably allergic. I should've tested it before I used it, but I hated how oily my hair look and just decided, to heck with it, and used it on my hair) I had means I will never use this again.

Doesn't work that well
I have very heavy hair that I have to wash every day because my scalp gets too oily so I decided to give this product a shot hoping I could skip a day washing hair here and there. Well, it almost works but I still wouldn't go to work after using it. It does help the oiliness a little bit, maybe enough to pull it all up in a ponytail but it's not good enough to wear my hair down. It just doesn't make the hair look that clean.

Nice smell, does the trick
My hair used to be great! It was thick and stayed nice for days. But it started becoming greasy in the last couple of years and it already looks a little dirty within a day. (Not sure if it is an age related thing like thinning or hormones or both? Are there other things to do or try?) I have long hair and find it hard to now change my lifestyle and take so much time on my hair everyday. This is white and has to be brushed in for sure, but I have tried a few expensive brands and the tip just clogged up they did not seem better. I have tried the tinted one too and that is OK sometimes and helps to hide roots but it can make other things dirty (tops, pillows, towels) so be careful with that too. I like the smell and it is inexpensive. I don't know if this is the best product but it does work fine for the price. If you know of something that is much better than I would be willing to pay more.

leaves residue
i know how to use this, i had used several cans of this before the one i bought on Amazon.i don't know why, but it left white residue on my hair (my hair was blonde) since when i had about a half of it left..which hadn't happened before. i used to buy this product at my local Ulta. but i ordered it online because i didn't have time to drive to the store. i don't know if the product was old or wrong, or i used it in improper way.anyway, after using several bottles i thought it was waste of money and time(to make sections, brush, and get rid of residue), so stopped using this.product works ok though.
