It makes it so the student can understand regrouping besides its traditional use. I pair this tool with the TPT or teachers pay teachers Montessori math lessons plus their traditional math lesson in school. My student wasn’t understanding math regrouping/exchanging so I tried using this with the cubes and rods, and it made more sense. Use one box per student.
