In Car Tablet Firm Grip Car Dash Air Vent Mount For The Dell streak 7 Google Nexus 7 8 iPad Mini Samsung Galaxy Tab Note I II 7 7.7 8 Tablet

I purchased this holder so I could use my iPad Mini in my car. I is time to upgrade my in car system, but after I accessed my needs I determined all I needed was a holder, not a new car system. After looking at many, I selected this one. The price was right and I wanted a vent mounting system.Upon receiving the mount I tested it out, It worked fine with my case off but, I wanted to be able to use it with my protective case on, something I had not considered before purchasing the mount. The unit comes with 2 sets of short legs and one set of long legs, if I had two sets if long legs it would work. I contacted the manufacture, they sent me a set of legs (different lengths) and wal-la. Now I can use my mini in my car without removing the case. This mount works well with one hand too. Unit is great, sturdy and with the right 'feet', holds my Samsung s3 phone fine. But it's tough to get your fingers on the clips used to mount into the vents in order to remove it. Also, this is useless for some of the newer cars with the vertical center vents.

Missing the middle piece that connects the vent mount to the tablet clip. The spring system is too flimsy. The adjustable clips are easy to remove and can be annoying when attempting to wrap the phone or tablet in the clip arms

We needed it for the ipad mini, came the day before we went on our trip. Did the job, 3000 mi. , a lttle tricky to get used to but well with the money.

Item Does not address vents in a positive way, flops around and falls out. Google nexus 7" is way to heavy for it. Most car AC vents rotate which compounds the problem.

Please don't buy this .it's just waste of money.its just keep on falling from the vent. Think twice before you buy it

I own a 7" google nexus and I cannot fit in to this mount. The tablet is too heavy and falls off every other bump. An option is to remove the tablet from the silicone case. This way there is more grip and more stability, but it's not very convenient.For a 4" phone works just fine. I don't use a case but I guess it doesn't make much difference.Update: I bought a 5in Garmin and I use this mount instead of the glass-sucker that comes with the GPS device. Much safer, it works great and there is room for the USB cable plugged in the back of the device when it needs a charge

If you intend on looking at your tablet while in the mount this is useless. It's going to flop and move all over the place. I have a 7" tablet. I can't see anything on the screen because it moves so much.
