Exceptional Performance Meets Practical Design
When I stumbled upon the Shuttle Art Ink Glide Series 15 Pack Retractable Black Gel Pens, I was intrigued by the promise of precision, practicality, and affordability. After using these pens for a sustained period, I can confidently say they deliver on many fronts while leaving room for minor improvements. The pouch itself is lightweight and compact, ideal for keeping in a drawer, backpack, or even a desk organizer. With fifteen pens in a single pouch, the Shuttle Art Ink Glide Series offers excellent value for the price. The pens feature a 0.5mm fine-point tip, which delivers crisp, clean lines and makes them ideal for detailed writing tasks. The ink flow is consistent, with no blotching or uneven streaks. The ink dries relatively quickly, minimizing smudging. One notable omission in the product information is details about refills. For eco-conscious users or those who prefer the economic advantage of refillable pens, this lack of transparency may be a drawback.Pros• Clear, practical pouch with tabbed enclosure for easy storage and transport• 15 pens included, offering excellent value• 0.5mm fine-point tip for precision and clean lines• Black gel ink dries quickly and resists smudging• Retractable design eliminates the need for caps• Lightweight and comfortable for extended useCons• No information provided regarding refills• Entire pens must be replaced once ink runs out

Reliable ink lines, but takes a moment to dry
What I like: After the first few initial strokes to get it started, the three pens I have tested so far all gave a nice consistent thin line that works great with my small handwriting and for occasional larger fonts. I tried it on receipt paper, thin notebook paper, cardstock, kraft brown paper, two different notebooks, and a planner, and I found the ink and lines fairly consistent across them all with no line bleeds and it didn't bleed through the paper- so I could use both sides of each page on all the test paper! If you take rapid notes or sketches, these may not be ideal because the ink dries quite slowly, so there is largish window where it will smear if you are not careful. I'm finding it a bit of a challenge to slow my work down enough to avoid smearing my lines and staining my pinky in ink.

Pretty nice, fairly soft grip
These seem like one of the nicer generic pens I've triedI posted a picture comparing them to a Pilot G2.The inserts can be used in a G2 body. There is mild streaking before drying. It is much better than most other generic pens I've tried. The writing thickness seems to be on the slightly thinner side. Maybe 0.4-0.5mmThe body itself is fairly unimpressive, but functional. The grip is fairly nice. It is a semi-soft material. I can barely leave an imprint of it with my fingernail, pressing as hard as possible. It has some good anti-slip characteristics. It also has ridges, which I expected to dislike, but in-use I think they're good. They seem to do a decent job with fatigue, and help the anti-slip characteristics. They do not write well on my generic post it notes. They do fine at a perpendicular angle to the post-it, but as the angle gets more extreme, it starts skipping a lot. I'm not sure if that's due to the pen, or because the generic post-it has some adhesive residue or something.Overall this seems like a good generic pen. Most of the complaints I have are related to aesthetics. B+

NOT waterproof
NOT waterproof. They write well, but I bought them so I could highlight over them. Disappointed.
