Takuda Magnet Universal Car Phone Windshield Dashboard Mount Holder, Magnetic Phone Mount for iPhone 6 Apple Samsung HTC LG Sony Huawei with Free Gift - Anti Slip Mat

After trying A variety of sticky clamps, vise grip type holders, clip on holders and more, I found this MAGNETIC device holder. I bought a pack of larger magnetic stick-on plates for my iPhone 5s, my old iPod and my GPS unit.... And can say without hesitation that this device holder is THE BEST!! My daughter paid 4 times the price for a different brand and I like my Takuda better! I quickly set my music or WAZE (or whatever I want to run while I'm driving) and then just place the back of it on the round plate. Devices do not move or slide or fall off!!! The plate swivels 360, the base has an extra glue pad with suction and it doesn't move on my bumpy dashboard.I still have a round black plastic flat plate on my window for one of the device holders I purchased a couple years ago...I'm gonna have fun scraping that off. I recommend this Takuda to anyone looking for a device holder for their car. This is the best I've ever used,.....and I have a box of previous 'flavor of the month' device holders. It's been amusing watching new holders show up. My only suggestion to Takuda is to build in a charger plate (I'm looking into adding a Qi charger plate & holder for my next phone) so that my device can charge while I'm using it. The Takuda came with magnetic plates, but knowing I had at least 3 devices that I wanted to be able to use with it is the reason I looked for more plates (and I went for plates that were a little bigger). I have a leather case on my iPhone, it has a little pocket on the back for credit cards, etc. I just slipped the large metal plate in the pocket, but you could use the adhesive and stick it directly onto your device. My GPS is larger and heavier than my phone and it stays put. This will hold a Samsung Galaxy or Note when you adhere the plate to the back.Pics coming soon:)

I have bought two of these. I loved it at first but then found out the ugly truth after a few months of use. The mount works perfectly at first and the magnets are strong. A great solution as there is no fiddling with grippers for your phone. You just grab and go and while driving it just sits in place - fantastic. Problem solved....er not. The problem with this Takuda and most windshield mounts is that they say they are using a suction cup. This is NOT true. The cup uses a special plastic that is sticky. The stickiness wears off. Yes, they say all you have to do is rinse the "suction" cup in water and the stickiness returns. Well it does return but not the the same level of stickiness as before. The mount is now useless. If they could combine the magnet concept with a proper SUCTION cup then you would have the perfect phone mount. So far the only mount I have seen that uses magnets and a true suction cup is the Logitech. It is expensive, so I will keep looking.

Swivel became loose after 3 months of usage... no way to tighten.

The nut on the back of the ball the allows you to adjust the angle then tighten down so it doesn't move was no good. It would not tighten down. Kept on stripping off the threads. It is a crap design. Even if it had threaded on as it should have it doesn't look like it would last long. It was very cheaply made. Very disappointed

Product works great! The sticky magnet is really strong. The auction cup works great on my dash as well. So convienient better than any other car mount .

Been using it for a couple of weeks now and absolutely does what it says. Using it with Xperia Z2 with case. Slipped the magnet inside the case (magnet is slim and cannot be seen or felt when holding the phone) and the dashboard magnet holds it in place 100%. It's really a fantastic product.

After a couple of weeks using theproduct, its glue ran out (not sticking) and it became unusable. Now it is useless.

Don’t buy this crap!! It will leave the adhesive on your dashboard screen that will be really hard (will take hours with right chemical) to take off.DON’T BUY!!!!

It's very nice! Looks good in the dashboard. The magnet is very strong and holds the phone properly.Though I wish they could send the 2 big magnetic strips instead of the circular one. Still, I would recommend this item to people who are looking for phone holders in the car.5 stars *****
