One of the best box sets of all times.
One of the best box sets of rock groups collection whit b sides and rarities already launched. Brings all the classics from the band, with very few absences. Another small flaw is the absence of tracks recorded for the BBC, which already was promptly supplied with the box set At the BBC, released in 2011. Nevertheless, this box set brings the powerful spectrum of Phillip Lynott in all its essence. Disc 4 features some tracks that were recorded for the Grand Slam project in the period after Lizzy, on 84/85, which was never released at the time, and it was released in other box sets dedicated to the founder leader legend bassist /vocalist of the group .The box brings all the popular set of songs, including the songs that Gary Moore recorded in 73/74, the powerful Sitamoia and Little Darling. Also brings other relics, like the music who dont entered in the 1975 hard rock classic Figthing,Try a Little Harder, among other items (from rare B Sides and Flexi Discs), Me and the Boys as they did not enter in the classic Live and Dangerous of 1978 and Song for Jimi (a brief return of Eric Bell in 1978). Anyway, there's talk that the excellent content found in this wonderful 4 CD Box. It is the one of the greatest box sets ever released, as the fantastics 30 Years of Maximum R AND B (The Who), Crossroads (Eric Clapton), Five Boys went into a Bar (the Faces) and Biograph (Bob Dylan). But for the purchase is satisfactory, get the box which was relaunched in 2006 with the book of 100 pages, by Ear Books in company with the UMC. Finnaly, BUY now, and put it in the Lizzy Collection.

It's the box set for me!
This is one of the best box set's if not the best ever made, it is a must have for any Lizzy fan in fact any rock fan should have a copy at such at such a reasonable price the import copy is the best Ear books edition a square LP size format you get extra photos and of course bigger picture excellent printing quality as well, for a few extra quid it's worth it.Many high points like "Sitamoia"a track that was the b side to Little Darling from 74 on Decca with Gary Moore one of the best things they ever did why they never did this live I do not know?"Try a little harder"a out-take from the Fighting album a Robertson and Lynott track this should have been on the album great solo by Robbo."Me and the boys"Live from the Rainbow originally B side to Rosalie 1978 great interplay with the crowd by Phil in his own Irish Charm!"Just the two of us" with Gary Moore from the Black Rose sessions Another B side.It all so includes some of Phil's solo stuff "King Call"stands out it's all most hypnotic the way he sings it in that low baritone voice.All lavishly package with informative sleeve notes and some rare photographs get it you will not be disappointed.We praise the record company's when they do things right, quite rightly slag them when they don't,but well done Universal shame some of your other deluxe album edition were not up to this standard.

Good condition
Whilst this anthology book of Thin Lizzy songs arrived later than originally expected, it did arrive. It also was in considerably better condition that I expected which was excellent ! Very pleased !

A fitting tribute
If you're a Lizzy fan you're probably already got most of the music, but this is still worth serious consideration. It's beautifully packaged the running order is well judged, with all the various line ups represented, with some great photos. All in all a great tribute to Phil, a sadly missed talent, a great song writer, a great singer, a criminally underrated bass player, and for those of us lucky enough to see him live, one of the best front men any band has ever had.

thin lizzy lives on
this is a very good boxset of thin lizzys recorded work the main reason that i brought this boxset was because of the inclusion of the b-sides of various vinyl singles which are not available on cd and very rare and difficult to get which means this cd boxset is important to all thin lizzy fans very worthwhile to get and not to expensive.
