SAS Jaguar Crossbow Package

This crossbow came with a scope and a battery for the red dot, iron site attachment, protective glasses, lube, cocking device, stringer, strap, bolt quiver & three 16 inch arrows (for these bolts I wasn’t too impressed after shooting them 1 time they start to bend so I bought 20 inch carbon fiber bolts and they held up with out bending or breaking unless I hit a really hard spot multiple times like a tree or rock) overall I definitely recommend this item to anyone who’s looking to get started with crossbow also I didn’t need to use the cocking device to cock back the string after my 2nd try but we’re all different so you’ll eventually get used to it but you’re warned after cocking a couple of times with your hand it will start to hurt! In total I shot about 40-50 shots and no complaints! 😁

Seriously for 175$ I don't wanna complain and be that douche but in the pics below it came fresh out the box haven't even touched these pre damages parts on the body or badly scratched trigger guard, I won't right away assume it won't shoot straight but the trigger is also extremely shaky right out of box not even touching trigger yet. It gets three strictly for price and hopes it works when I assemble. But if it doesn't shoot and I know what I'm doing I'd say 1 Star for body alone. Arrow heads were all over the box one was poking out a little. I have never written a bad review before but I won't assume it's all SAS fault it may have been a careless UPS douche. Either way check the photos. Up and down that's looking at it right out of the box. Came pre scratched and very loose trigger for me I guess must have lucked out got the guys who doesn't care about making product nice. It's is a budget bow, that Scratched up trigger guard and pre scratched butt stock and shaky trigger a open box turn off. Not to mention how dirty the inside of the box is. Hope it works I'll follow up another review after shooting it. - Follow up- been nearly two weeks, asides the cosmetic damage the bow has been performing great, bump up to 4 stars. Just be sure to lube rail and string every couple shots.

This thing is awesome. It does take a little strength to pull it, I got it for my son but wound up keeping it for myself. It’s accurate out of the box after setup, it’s Saturday and great quality. I love it.

This bow was perfect for my son for Christmas. We did have some trouble with the red dot scope not connecting to the rail, but after a few emails back and forth, the company sent us a new scope and it fits perfectly.

After receiving this crossbow I soon realized how that I would have issues with it. First, the bow itself is secured to the main housing with inadequate parts, that will eventually fail. Second, the string is held by a plastic part at both ends of the bow. After firing the crossbow for the first time, one of the plastic parts failed by breaking, to which the string that was secured to it got damaged. I sent a message to Southland through their website contact form. Well, I received an email response from Southland asking that I use their customer support contact form in order for assistance. I sent another message and after a week we did not hear anything. We tried the phone listed on their website but got a voicemail because it was full. Sent another message to them asking for a better contact number. We got a better number and called them to explain our issues with the damaged bow. They asked for pictures of the damaged pieces to confirm what we were talking about. They then told us that they would send us replacement parts but several weeks later we have not heard or received anything!!! We decided to send it back to Amazon and get a refund.. Send it back because they don’t keep their promises!

Red dot scope does not fit on the rail. Had to add a shim. Luckily it was bought for someone else as a xmas gift and not for me. I would have returned it.
