Accurate and easy to use.
This does all I need it to do and is very accurate. I am measuring overhead utilities like luminaire heights and transmission line heights. I tested horizontal distance accuracy at 30 feet and it was within inches. I only require one foot accuracy. In the field I measured some items three ways - Vertical Distance (VD) where you point the laser at the object from some distance away and it tells you the vertical distance from where you are standing. Height Routine (HT) where you shoot the laser at a pole (click) aim at the bottom of the pole (click) (laser off) aim at the top of the pole (click) (laser off) then it tells you the height. Slope Distance (SD) which tells you the distance from the TruPulse to the object. The agreement between these methods was very good. This gave me the confidence that I could measure the height of a luminaire without needing to stand in a traffic lane directly under the luminaire to do so.I can't speak to the reliability or durability of this instrument since I have not had it long. Others have said theirs failed when it got seriously wet so I will try to avoid having that happen.

Tru Pulse 200, Does what it promises!
The Tru Pulse 200 fulfills our needs for a project that we are working on in SSM. Our Field Designers are tagged with the task of collecting Pole profiles for Aerial Fibre Design. These include Span Measurements and Height of Attachment. The Tru Pulse fills these requirements adequately. The unit is compact and relatively light weight. It has been dependable in most situations. Heavy leaf cover and some weather conditions affect the unit but all in all, a very dependable tool for Aerial Design.

I am a timber cruiser in the pacific NW and this laser is the best for what I need it for. 9 out of 10 cruisers I work with use this tool daily.I bought my first trupulse in 2007 and its still rockin. This laser has been reliable in the worst weather and harshest conditions. The Olympic peninsula is the most rugged place to cruise timber, hands down. We are warriors up here compared to anywhere else in the US.
