The Purple Cricket - 430 Stainless Steel Grilling Basket, Adjustable, Portable, for Outdoor BBQs, Kitchen

Bought this basket for husband for birthday because he loves to grill! I loved that it had a lifetime warranty---what company will give you that for a grill basket!!! He loves it already because it held all our peppers and zucchini's perfectly in place and held the heat well!!! His only complaint was that he only had one basket....says another would be perfect for even more veggies and if we entertained a bigger crowd!! It is very well made and sturdy, you know its good quality!!! Nothing will be falling out once we lock it in place!!! We also liked that there was a detachable handle because we can detach and close the bbq lid/hood to get an even nice flavor!! At first it seemed like it would have been hard to clean the burnt stuff on the wiring but just soaked it about an hour with soap and it cleaned off well! Another time, we just threw it in the dishwasher and it cleaned off nicely as well! LOVE THIS GRILL BASKET and no need to go looking for another!!!

Love the way the handle comes off but the wood part is pretty rough. Size is nice so I can put it in the dishwasher but a non-stick coating would be better.

As a woman engineer, I appreciate a good domestic engineered product to simplify my homemaking chores. This grill basket was well thought out. It has two easy adjust levels. The pictures here with the chicken wings show the thicker level. When I first received it I felt it’d be nice if it was a little larger, but after using it, it’s good enough. Any larger would be too heavy for me to pick up with one hand. Welding was not aligned perfectly, but it’s not important for grilling.As for cleaning, it was difficult to clean the burnt meat and sauce. I’ll try spray some oil next time. It’s fine, not important for it to look like new.Overall, it’s a nice design, served its purpose, and I’m happy with it.

I sent it back. The grilling compartment is too small for what I'm going to need. The construction is fine, however.

We are avid grillers and have used this grill basket each time since purchasing. The stainless steel is thick and sturdy. It flips easily to grill both sides and gives 2 choices as to how much food you can put in the basket. We have washed it in the dishwasher and hand washed with no problems. I really like that the strong stainless steel will take a good scrubbing without bending or flaking. For years we purchased nonstick grill baskets and got tired of replacing them because of the coating flaking and metal bending. We think this stainless steel basket is a much safer grilling utensil to cook with. We love it!

I made a pasta salad today that called for grilled veggies and grilled chicken. I used my cricket for both. I love that I can put the cricket on the grill remove the handle and close the lid. When the item is ready to be removed I put the handle back on. The handle is cool and I can carry the item where ever I want. To clean, I put it in my dishwasher. Love it.

The small collar that holds it shut should be welded to itself so that it doesn’t come loose in high temperature. Overall not the easiest to use but it does appear to be stainless steel which will be nice compared to my rusty one

Needed a grilling fish basket but my grill has to close. This is a great basket because the handle easily comes off the basket allowing me to flip the basket, remove the handle, and close the grill lid! Just what I needed! And the basket is good for fish, burgers, onions, peppers, etc. and goes in the dishwasher for easy cleaning!
