WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR- color, size, feel
Very nice coffee color. Liked that it DID NOT smell chemically when first opened. First good sign. Canvas is soft but sturdy, feels robust. When empty it will collapse. I didn't want an ironed, firm material. Perfect look and feel I was hoping for. Fits a regular mail sized envelope for mail on the go reading. Fits my 8" x 9" Bible journal exactly right. FYI- anything bigger is a no go. Fits anything smaller. I use as a book bag mainly. Good storage everywhere- keys, cell, pen, reading glasses. Especially like the key clip and access to front pocket via side zippers. The snaps are tight, so I acknowledge it can rip if you go Hulk on it. Be gentle. I fully expects snaps too loosen with use. That's what happens. Go for it if my review nods you.

Chapstick pocket is perfectly placed.
Yes, the strap is shorter than expected, and at first I was planning to lengthen it. But after using for about two months I've come to really like the length. It holds the bag close to me, and at the right height for accessing things quickly. My favorite thing about the bag is the chapstick pocket on the outside flap. I wouldn't say it's changed my life, but this placement has seriously improved my daily life. I've had the same chapstick since I started using the bag, which is record setting for me. I usually misplace and replace chapstick on a weekly basis. This is historic. The rest of the bag is pretty good too. The lobster claw key clip is conveniently located and secure. I have a "keyless" car, so I can leave my key fob permanently clipped to this and never have to worry about losing my keys again. The main pocket is just large enough to hold a small tablet along with a wallet and odds and ends.

Not just for men... FANTASTIC!
I thinks it's silly that this is specified to be a "Men's" bag... but whatever, I am a woman and I LOVE LOVE this bag. I have searched for years for the perfect over the shoulder bag that I can just carry a few things in and my search ended here! I generally don't like to carry much but surprisingly, even with my massive cell phone and wallet, I can fit snacks and a 16oz bottle of water in this bag and close it with no stress on the fabric or the zipper. It's extremely durable and has all these wonderful pockets. Best purchase I've made this year! The only complaint I think I have is the overwhelming smell of denim that takes weeks to go away. I even tried to spray it with perfume! But that is the only issue I have and it's a small one. I have had this bag for several months now and it's going to last me a long time to come!

I'm a guy - it works for me.
I'm a mid-30's dad and I've recently decided to embrace the man purse. 10 years ago I may have felt insecure about it, but now I don't care. I'm simply tired of having to attempt to cram everything into my pockets and this does a fine job of holding my kindle, glasses, pen/notepad, toddler snacks/bottle, tissues, and all the other miscellaneous items I carry around when I don't feel like toting the full diaper bag.It looks all canvas, metal, and leather, which doesn't strike me as particularly feminine (as others have suggested). Maybe it's the size? It's much smaller than a typical messenger or computer bag. The size is a good thing to me, as it sits there pretty unobtrusive and I don't feel like I'm lugging around a huge bag all the time. Regardless, no one's given it a second look. As for the strap, I'm 6 ft tall, 180 lbs and let out all the way, the bag hangs just to my waist. That's plenty long.It may be worth noting that there seems to be a number of identical bags sold under different names on Amazon. Make of that what you will. I tend to lower my expectations a bit. But this was a low price, looks decent, is functional, and I've had no issues over the past couple months of use.

Great value and utility, needs work on the craftsmanship
I really like this bag, Very functional, easy to use and convenient. I saw someone in a store with a similar bag and was struck by its utility. I've used smaller bags in the past and found them less than ideal. This one has multiple pockets which are very useful for carrying a variety of objects plus the important stuff. Some points that could use a bit of improvement. The top zipper for the main compartment, there's only one zipper. When you go to close the bag, the fabric bunches across the top. Since you are usually doing this one-handed across your body, it's easy to see that this is a pinch point that will eventually snag or wear in some way.The second problem is the flap that hangs down when you unzip the two side zippers. The flap is fine, it's the zippers that tend to sag downwards as you go through your day. That part should be redesigned or perhaps a way to snug the zippers so they don't float downwards.Other than that, my black Harwish is extremely useful. Don't know how I lived without one. For the price, excellent deal.Updated review note: the sewing on the zipper tape failed on both sides in the first four months. I had a friend hack up some velcro straps which keeps it useful but ultimately kind of a kludge. So, not particularly great on the craftsmanship.

Very useful!
I was looking for a replacement for my husband's everyday bag. His previous bag fell apart and faded to an awful color; but it had so many useful pockets and spaces that he clung to it for much longer than it should have been. This bag has done all he wanted and more. It's not as small as a badge-holder type bag, but not as big as a daypack. He works and rides his bike all over the city and needs to carry useful items at all times. It is big enough for everything, while small enough to stay out of the way. So far it is wearing well. Nice color, too. The strap could stand to be a little longer, though.
