Works!
I purchased these because I was tired of being bombarded with ads everywhere only a couple of days having discussions with friends or family when my cell, computer or iPad was in the room at the time.Pros:-When I first got them, I plugged it right in and tested it out in multiple ways.Voice commands don’t work, the device doesn’t “hear” anything.-When it’s in your cell, you can make and receive a call, but you cannot hear what they are saying and they cannot hear what you are saying.-Voice memos were tested too. The recording is going, but only silence is recorded even when talking or yelling.-Taking a video, you can see what you’re taking a video of, but no sound is caught.-These are so flat once plugged in, it hasn’t caught on anything from my computer or iPad.Cons:-If you use it for your cell, you can hear your phone ring, but text sounds and notification sounds, you can’t hear.-so far, this is made to go into a normal headphone jack. That’s fine for my computer and iPad, for they have the regular jack. But, my iPhone does not have the regular jack. However, I just plug the accessory for regular headphone use, and I put the plug the microphone blocker in that. Performance of the product works the same. Though, I do wish they made one for the devices that don’t have the “older” normal headphone jack. I’ll keep my eye out for that advancement 🙂

Big Brother Hates these
As former military member I had to get a few of these because I know how certain 3 letter agency’s cannot mind their own busisness. I have one of these for just about every one of my electronic devices connected to the internet that I can plug one into. Ironically when I had the device plugged into my iPhone 5 my itunes would activate spontaneously. Someone thought I actually had headphones and a microphone installed. Haha. And then one day I received a call and in order for me to take the call I had to unplug the blocker. This was mid January 2019. As soon as I unplugged the blocker to take the call my phone had a spontaneous battery crash while it was still plugged in and charging at 100% battery. Odd coincidence? I don’t think so. The phone went into a charge crash cycle and soon failed altogether. I had to get a new phone. To my amazement new phones do not have headphone microphone input output jacks. Interesting. So now I look forward to one of these blockers that fits the iphone charging plug that also blocks or mimics a microphone.

Low profile, just works! Tricks your computer to think headset is connected
This is exactly what I was looking for! The profile is so low that I don't have to think before chugging my laptop into the bag.The added holder is essential, otherwise it's very easy to lose if you take it out of the slot, and has a key ring to easily attach to your chain or bag.Why do you need one of these?Well one reason which sounds a bit far fetched to me is avoid someone listening in through the built-in microphone on your laptop - if someone has that kind of access to your machine, you're already in deep trouble, listening to your conversation is probably the least of your problems at this point. The second more useful one is to avoid "accidents" where you Bluetooth disconnects and the computer defaults to your speakers blasting the open office with that embarrassing song/video that was playing privately in your ear...This just makes the computer think that another headset is plugged in, so it will not send the sound to the speakers. This is so cheap, that there is no reason not to buy, a perfect sock filler for your techy and not ad techy friends and family.

Works, but easy to lose.
The product works as intended (I have an iPhone), but it’s easy to lose especially if you need sound often. It basically tricks your device into thinking a pair of headphones is plugged in. I bought 2 and lost one for my iPhone after 2 days. Some design suggestions-make head of cap flat so it’s easy to stand on flat surface when taking off. That, or make cap square instead of round so it doesn’t roll around/fall off a table when placing down.-make the cap black instead of metal to match phone

Just a good product.
This is an awesome product. It is actually very well made. The fob that carries the product is soft yet durable. Even the paint used to mark the product is more durable than painted products I have seen elsewhere. The mic stopper fits snuggly in its slot on your phone or other device. Yes it can stop snooping, but far from the spying aspect, putting one of these devices in also keeps that port clean. I really enjoy using it and always keep one on my keyring.

I will be returning, not replacing
The first thing I noticed was how small and thin the end of the device was, admiring it's minimalist aesthetic, but also worrying about how I might remove it. I plugged it into my phone and tested it via "ok google". The voice-activated software could not hear me. It's working. Perfect! Now I wanted to see how hard it would be to unplug, which I found to be adequately frustrating. After pinching fruitlessly in what felt like an effort to claw a nail out of the wall after it has been hammered flush, I pulled a card from my wallet and wedged it between the two devices, gently wiggling upward. Finally! But, ok I want to use it... and now we have a new problem. It's stopped working. It blocks audio output, but not input (which is the entire point of the product) so it's rendered not only useless, but majorly inconvenient...especially if it gets temporarily stuck in your device. I ventured to try it on my computer, no such luck. It kicked the bucket after one use. I bought two of these at the same time and didn't even bother opening the second because this product's design is already so noticeably flawed, it's not worth having a working one (that, might I add, might fail on you without your knowledge.)TL;DR: This device worked once... for all of 30 seconds, now it simply doesn't work on either my MacBook Pro or Samsung phone. Plus, an oversight in the physical design (too hard to unplug) limits functionality regarding practical use.
