After having had several other sets that strap on with velcro, when I saw these I was like "Yes!" Those with velcro straps have the prickly part of the velcro on the strap itself. And since the weights are usually not long enough to go all the way around your legs, that means the prickly velcro is going to be scratching your skin or snagging your socks. Then, the velcro must be very strong to hold the weights and will eventually wear out, making the weights useless. So the previous pair I had were the soft neoprene with velcro on the very ends. These were better but still were not great because the velcro does not match up and I still get scratched or socks snagged. And the velcro eventually wore out.So that is why I love these so much. I can see these lasting for many more years. I don't wear them in the water. The only minor issue is that once you get them on and adjusted, the extra part of the strap hangs down, so they have velcro on the end of it so you can attach it and not have to worry with it, which is great, but one of them has the velcro missing on the end of the strap. But since these are great in every way, I cannot take off a whole star for such a minor issue. I have some velcro I already bought at a local store for just such a purpose, and I cut a piece off and attached it and do not expect to ever need to remove it since I am the only one who will be using the weights.I love the fact that they are soft and are long enough and can lay over on the top of your shoes so that there is not a weight pressing down on one spot on the top of your foot and cutting of the circulation, which is an issue I had with the harder weights. I cannot recommend these enough. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable secure water resistant *by P***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2019* I have owned 2 different types of weights for the pool and these are by far the best.Excellent that they have 2 secure methods when putting them on: 1. Clip fasten (primary hold) 2. Velcro /Hookk&loop (snug and tightens as you pull)I have had other pairs that advertise "water exercise" , and rust , intake water and seep nasty brown stuff. These dry off and dont seem to absorb water like the other. They make swimming hard! perfect for a WHOLE range omg best workout. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great except for small wrists *by R***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2018* Great product, but my wife was unable to get a snug fit around her wrists the way the strap works. This is NOT a defect, the product just does not work well if your wrists are small. I would have probably been OK for her ankles, but that was not the desired use. Had to return and now looking for another wrist weight strap with a tighter fit. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/71028204-coast-athletic-pool-wrist-and-ankle-weights-7lb-pair](https://www.desertcart.be/products/71028204-coast-athletic-pool-wrist-and-ankle-weights-7lb-pair) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
