Nothing to compare to but they sound great
They sound great and I didn't have to stress about researching and buying a quality amplifier to power them. I know I paid a price for my laziness but at the end of the day I'm sure the pricetag looks close enough. Sound quality is excellent, sometimes the low end can leave a little to be desired but that might be a song to song issue seeing as it's more than capable in some songs and ehh in others, most will eventually have a dedicated subwoofer anyway but by no means do they need one.

ZERO response from Swan for months
Pulled trigger at $1050 on Black Friday based on Zeos recommendation.1st set arrived with cabinet damage that was inflicted when packaged at the factory -- clearly NOT shipping damage. Was out of stock at Amazon so they couldn't exchange for second set. Successfully negotiated with Amazon to get partial refund if I accepted as-is. (Thank you Amazon.)Went to plug them in and "master" unit (the one with all the I/O connections) totally DOA. No external fuse, but wanted them bad enough that I opened it up. Yes there was internal fuse, but not blown.Gambled that Amazon would have re-stock within 30 day return window because if I simply returned and asked for refund and they came back in stock, the BF price could not be honored. While waiting, tried email, text and phone calls to contact Swan to see if they could help or offer to replace/repair. DEAD SILENCE -- no response from ANY communication channel, even to this day months later.Luckily they did come back in stock in time, so despite the radio silence from Swan, I asked Amazon to execute exchange because Zeos recommended so highly.Second set arrives and does power up (note other reviewer also had DOA 1st set). They sounded okay in my rather large room, but the deal-breaker was I could not get them to connect via wifi despite being somewhat network savy and investing hours of time trying various methods to get going. Scoured internet for third-party help to no avail. Submitted more communications to Swan asking for help and, as previously, all went into a black hole.Reached out to Zeos on his private Telegram chat to ask if he had any contact info and he acknowledged that he too had never successfully been able to communicate with anyone at Swan. That concerned me because based on the obvious lack of help/documentation/support, it would become my risk if anything died even in the warranty period if I chose to keep them.Back went the second set. NEVER SWAN AGAIN. Compliments to Amazon for handling all the shipping logistics painlessly as the pair of these puppies weighs around 75 lbs so shipping costs were significant.

Worth every penny!!!
These are the most amazing speakers I’ve ever owned. My Klipsch, JBL and Martin Logan speakers sound like excellent speakers. These Swan M3a’s sound like a vocalist is singing or strumming a guitar in my kitchen. Plus, they’re solid cherry; not a veneer. I should’ve bought two pairs...

Performs as expected
First set had 1 dead speaker, but Amazon replaced order, no problem. Performs as expected. Very powerful. Detailed mids. Fun. Exposes content flaws that cheap speakers don't like mp3 compression artifacts, so a few poor quality online streams may sound better on cheap speakers.

Stunning
Incredible detail. They sound perfect. My only complaint is that I had to pay international duties, even though I'm Canadian and purchasing from a Canadian company.

Give us the d1090. We won’t forget!
Bring us the D1090. I won’t forget the original price and Z reviews will be able to tell the difference between speakers. Swan, your intentions are ambiguous.

Solid as usual
Third owned Swans speaker over the past decade, From China to US, I'm glad with their performance per cost and stable companion.

exact same speaker as the $250 HIVI DIY 3.1
Amazing speakers. I own MANY speakers from custom 6 way active CDT audio, JBL C608GTi-mkII, B&W tower speakers, bookshelves, Dayton Da-wave, Hivi DIY 2.2 and 3.1, overnight sensations, and a few others. THESE are the best speakers I own. And have absolutely sounded better than anything shy of about $2000 that I have heard. My next speakers will be the either the Bromo or the Solstice.
