It could be used as a wall mount or floor mount. The stainless steel top rail or posts simply slide into the flange and are secured by epoxy. Due to the demand for a variety of configurations, clients will have to supply their own mounting screws (not included with this order) and epoxy (not included with this order). Note: Stainless Steel is highly resistant, but not impervious to the elements, and requires minimal maintenance for ideal results. We recommend applying Citrisurf 77 Plus to all exposed stainless steel components at the time of installation. In addition, apply Boeshield T9 if within 10 miles of a marine environment to further protect the stainless steel. The necks of these flanges are designed to fit inside our 2in OD Stainless Steel posts, and our intermediate and terminal posts have different wall thicknesses, so the diameters of the flanges are different. The intermediate flange is about 1.86in OD and the terminal flange is about 1.69in OD. **Q: can they be used with pool grab rails that are 1.90 dia** A: They are designed to fit INSIDE round stainless pipe if the pipe has a minimum 1.9 inch INNER diameter. **Q: Do you offer other sizes for this item or can you make a custom size?** A: The item you selected is designed to go with our terminal posts, we do have one that is designed for our intermediate posts. Our terminal post have a thicker wall so the neck of the flange has a smaller diameter. When you are on the page for the flange, if you select the Intermediate option you will be able to look at the specification sheet for that item. These are the only two sizes we carry, and we are not able to make a custom size, I am sorry.
