just a FYI for anyone buying the 3000' spool. it is NOT continuous. it is in about 500' increments with some packing tape holding each line together. BEWARE. it is still a great product, they just forgot to mention that little detail.

    Excellent for Hammock Straps

*by L***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2017*

I recently discovered mule tape for an alternate to paracord's many uses. It's REALLY strong, very inexpensive and doesn't stretch. The only downside is, because of it's primary use, you have to buy it in fairly large lengths (unless you buy it from someone who has parsed out smaller lengths on ebay). After experimenting with several different materials (climbing rope, paracord, nylon cordage, etc.) This has become my favorite for hanging my hammock.I make a really useful hammock strap by tying a bowline in one end - use that end to attach to the tree. Tie a series of alpine butterfly loops spaced about 3-4 inches apart. Clip your hammock carabiner into one of the loops and you're all set. Works like a charm. The multiple loops make it adjustable, and by it's very nature, the bowline is easy to untie even after being under tremendous strain. These are two must-know knots. They're really useful.

*by G***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2017*

The quality of the mule tape itself was good, however the spooling of the tape was not. I was only installing approximately 125 ft. of conduit, so I just ran the mule tape in each joint as I would glue them together. After making it about 100 ft. and the conduit on the starting end was up the electric pole, I pulled some more tape and it went slack. When I looked down the the starting point where the mule tape was going into the conduit off the spool, it was gone! The 300 ft. roll didn't contain 300 ft. of continuous tape, it was spliced at approximately 100 ft!! So the tape inside the conduit was now laying at the bottom of a 10 ft. vertical joint somewhere in the 24 inch sweeping 90 elbow. So my only options were to go purchase a 100+ ft. fish tape since the conduit was all glued together or cut the conduit to get to the mule tape and use that to pull back a new piece. Not wanting to spend more money on a fish tape, I chose to cut the conduit and put it back with a new piece which became a bit of a headache as well.
