Disappointing
While the price was good. I installed according to the directions, it warmed up and worked for an hour, then said it couldn’t read and would take up to 3 hours. Then it said sensor ended early. Called customer service, then I had to use the web bot to create a case. I would get an email status update. I didn’t need to keep the box or sensor, but I will. I went to remove the defective sensor and the probe broke off and I have no idea how to get it out of my body. Definitely not recommending, and a bit fearful to try the other one.

Totally changes everything!
I've been working with a Nutritionist for the last eight weeks. Since I'm pre-diabetic it was suggested that I get a CGM and try it out. Wow! This device totally changes everything. Absolutely no cheating since the CGM would detect that and show a spike. Now I'm held even more accountable to make good nutrition decisions. It's been a struggle to lose weight in a sustainable way. So far, with the guidance from my Nutritionist, I believe that this device will help me to see the effect on my glucose level for the food choices I have. I've been tracking macronutrients, carbs, fiber, protein... the works. This device is proving to be VERY helpful in dynamically measuring my glucose. No pain in applying. Very easy to use. Took a little research to find clarity.dexcom.com in order to get at patient reporting. I've found this to be a good value for the money and very functional. Please give it a try.

Not Reliable, Has Extreme Adhesive
First, I’ll say I’m a veteran of prescription CGMs, so I’m certain this isn’t user error. I placed one device and got it working without any issues, and once it trained a bit, it produced good results. For one week. Then it disappeared. I contacted Dexcom and they shipped a replacement without any fuss. Then, I tried to remove the dud, and wow. Super glue has nothing on this adhesive. I honestly questioned if it was going to tear my skin trying to get it to peel. It took me an hour and a lot of baby oil to get it free, and my skin was raw.Fast forward to trying the one newly shipped from Dexcom, and after inserting it, nothing. No bluetooth beacon after checking on three different devices - iOS and Android. Now I’m sitting here dreading having to try and peel this thing off with fresh adhesive on it.This product seems rushed to market. It’s not that much cheaper than out of pocket prescription devices, if at all, so I wonder how it went this badly. I’d think I just got unlucky if it weren’t for all the other stories of the same premature failures and DOAs. Hopefully it’ll evolve in the future when they work the kinks out.

Unusable
Not worth the money. Due to readings being more than 40 off with no way of callibrating and constant sensor failures with little to no customer help I would not waste your money on this item. And readings that don't even show if below 70 unhelpful when trying to see if your a person who is going low. Also the only kind of warning you get is if your sugar is raising which when your sensors are constantly reading 40+ higher than what you really are is little help in seeing what is affecting you.Don't waste your money

Make sure you know
This is not something I would normally order. I don't like the idea of wearing something that screams I have diabetes. It is the vanity in me. However, my numbers were very off on my last doctor visit. So, I wanted to try something different. I was looking for something that did not require a prescription. There are not very many devices on the market. Of the two that Amazon offers, one (Lingo at a cheaper price point) can only be used with an iPhone. I have an Android. The delivery time takes a little longer than I wanted (5 days), but I purchased it anyway. It came with two 15 day sensors. The first sensor was very easy to put on and sync to my phone. The second sensor, however, experienced a problem 30 minutes after I put it on and eventually expired. So for the price point of $99, I am not very satisfied since this was supposed to be a 30 day supply. Some people have commented on the difference between CGM and BGM. I took the time to read up on this, and it is normal. One of the main reasons the two may differ is BGM measures glucose in blood, while CGM glucose in interstitial fluid (a fluid just below the surface of the skin). I also found out that this device is part of the Dexcom family, which is the maker of Dexcom G7 which requires a prescription. It can be paired with the Dexcom Clarity App for a little more detailed reports. There is a 20% chance that the device might not last the full 15 day time period, which again is disappointing for the price point. Customer service was quick to reply to my request for support, and they are sending a replacement. The ability to see how food have affected my sugar levels, to see where my numbers might be when I feel a certain way, without pricking my finger is great. Even though the detection range is 70 - 250, it gives a general idea that I use to determine if I need to prick my finger for a more accurate number. With this monitor you will need to use both, but not the BGM as much. I would still purchase again, because you can you FSA or HSA. I would prefer for the 20% fail rate not to be a thing, and if it weren't for that and the price I would give it a higher rating. I would recommend if you understand what you are getting.
