Unless you want to see your child reach into a cabinet full of cleaning chemicals, do not buy these.For the first bunch of uses, the locks worked. The latch would automatically pop up after we opened a cabinet and moved our magnet “key” away. The latch would then work to keep the door closed when we shut it.After a few months of use, the locks began to fail one-by-one. When we opened a cabinet and moved our magnet key away, the latch would NOT pop up anymore. When we closed the door, it would not automatically lock.This means that at some point, the locks we trusted to work would fail, and our child was in danger.Until they fix this flaw, do not buy this product.

These don’t work long-term (until your kid is no longer interested in digging through your cabinets for fun). The day after I installed these, my 10 month old was able to pull his way into the cabinet. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I installed a new set. Same thing happened - next day, my son again got into the same cabinet and nearly ruined my Friends DVDs (yes I still have DVDs). Little guy stuck the hook right onto one of my DVDs.I installed everything correctly. Everything was aligned. Tested it and it held at the time.Not sure why there are so many good reviews. Be alert. If your kid is silent, they probably got into your stuff.

I've had these up for about a week now, and they're working fine. Some reviewers have high expectations like something with 3M double sided tape should be strong enough to keep burglars out or something. I have a pretty strong 2 year old, and I wouldn't be surprised if with a strong consistent tug using her weight, she's able to open the cabinets. To me, these are what I need, which is a good deterrent so that she knows that she isn't to go in there. If you want something that is 100% child proof, then buy the ones where you have to drill holes in your cabinets. These I think will keep my little one out more than long enough for me to realize that she's trying to get into them. I really give this a 3.5 star rating because the instructions that come one them are horrible. The diagram of the inside piece looks nothing like what's in the package. If you buy, be sure to come back to this page and look at the pictures here to see what it's really supposed to look like.

Easy to operate and keeps my toddler out of the cabinets. Installation took some trial and error (directions on the package are not very clear), but I was able to reseat the 3M strips a few times as needed and even removed one completely after a few days with no damage done to my painted cabinets. I love the ability to turn the locks on and off and that I don't need to drill into my cabinets.

I just ordered my 5th set of these magnetic locks and I have to say I love them. They are sooo much faster and easier to install than the old fashioned child locks that have to be screwed in. I wish I had discovered these before I spent so much time installing the other kind in my kitchen. After I discovered these magnetic locks, I gave up on using any more of the old kind. I also like that these can be switched off if you are using a particular drawer/cabinet a lot and want quick access. Plus, this brand definitely seems like the best deal on Amazon for magnetic child locks. The adhesive is plenty strong, so there's definitely not a compromise in quality for the lower price.

I can't get my cabinets open half the time due to the latches not opening with the magnets. If I get one cabinet open I have to manually open the latch to the other side. Grrrr

We ordered these for baby proofing. At first we liked them but only after 2 months of use they are NOT WORKING anymore. The cabinets do not stay locked and open up very easily. Very disappointing when you as a parent are trusting these the protect your child from hazardous cleaning supplies and chemicals. Our daughter was only 11 months and she figured out how to open the cabinets while these were in place. DO NOT BUY AND DO NIT TRUST WITH THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN.

Tried some cabinet locks that screw in and managed to put a small hole in one of my cabinets (the wife was not happy). So I tried these and they were super easy to install. Only had them on for a couple weeks but so far they seem to be perfect to keep our one year old out of the cabinets.

Great product...one but of advice try to put them in the same location on each cupboard...my husband put ours up and it's a mystery of where to unlock each door.

These did not work for us. Not very easy to line up/I stall for proper latch. My son, who was 1 at the time, broke them all by pulling on the cabinet doors.

I wasn’t sure about purchasing this product but I decided to give it a try and see if it works. I’m glad I did. It was easy to install, it locks well and is easy to operate.

These do not work. They fall off all the time, my one year old can pull the cabinets open still, and they break so easily.

These work great. The instructions are in REALLY bad English, but I found it hilarious.

Sticky pads aren’t sticky enough.

Sadly it didn't work for our tight of cabinet doors.

I thought these would be amazing based on the reviews. However, they did not stay on the doors the kept falling off and the magnet did not work correctly.
