NASB Pew Bible Hardcover – March 1, 1997

Thanks so much, the shipping was fast and this is very good edition of the Holy Bible, I have been looking for an affordable hard copy of the Holy Bible, this was a great addition to my collection. I have misplaced some of my other versions in the process of moving. I have been using online versions for awhile but there is nothing like reading the bible that is in your own hands.

This Bible is great and the New American Standard Bible (NASB) version is one of the most accurate direct English translations from the original scriptures. This is a great size Bible for carrying around or tor travel but the text is rather small for those of you that have trouble reading smaller text. The pages are a little thin too but for the price this Bible can't be beat and it would also make an excellent gift.In comparison I'm a bigger fan of the English Standard Bibles (ESV) as these are a little easier to read and are still one of the most accurate direct translations of the original scriptures. My favorite Bibles are the ESV large text Bibles available by Concordia Publishing House. They are a little easier to read and I must say my favorite one is the Concordia large text ESV Study Bible. Hope this review helps you all.

my daughter needed this for school. It was a great bible. I added 2 ribbons in the spine to hang down and mark pages as I don't recall it having any. This will hold up to many years of use.

This is a good bible, it's one of several I now have in my collection. It's a standard pew-sized book, with a hard cover and tight binding.I have not delved into it much to compare it with other translations, but so far what I have read is in accord with the other bibles I have been reading through (eg, the NAB-RE, aKJV, RSV, etc.) I have not come across any deliberate distortion or bias as I did with a few other new translations (Eg, Holman, ALT, etc.)This is a worthwhile bible, although I prefer bibles with the Deuterocanonical (so-called apocrypha) books. I think reading from this bible would work just fine in any church group, denominational, catholic, whatever.Most bibles say the exact same thing, with just slight wording differences (although, yes admittedly, some wordings can alter the interpretation - in which case we need to refer to other sources to find definitive insightful answers - this is why we have theologists and clergy :)

I absolutely love this Bible! I love the blue with silver writing and the size is perfect. It's easier for me to understand than most others Ive attempted to read in my life. It has, however, been a very long time (teenage years) since I've read any Bible so that could be part of it. You just can't beat this price for such a quality product. I might buy some as Christmas presents for the fam.

The New American Standard Bible (NASB) is described by those who know about biblical languages and their translation, as the most accurate of the modern English translations. I've used the New International Version (NIV) but am now reading the NASB to see how it compares.Other than that, what can one say? It is the word of God. The words of man and his or her ideas don't begin to compare.

NASB, hardcover. Easy to read, bright white pages. My only issue is the next book is crammed right on top of the last book. Just a personal preference, but I don't like that aspect. Otherwise its a fine bible.

A Bíblia com capa azul tem um material diferenciado. O texto é claríssimo e fácil de ser compreendido mesmo se você não for um expert na língua inglesa. Além disso, a fidelidade aos textos originais torna essa tradução muito mais viável e agradável de se meditar.Vale muito a pena pra quem quer uma bíblia em inglês e fica pensando se vai ou não entender o texto. Tenho a Bíblia na linguagem King James Version histórica e a linguagem NIV. Certamente a NASB é superior em todos os quesitos, recomendada por teólogos como John MacArthur que apreciam a inspiração das escrituras, prezam pela fidelidade na tradução (equivalência formal, word by word), e também a fidelidade gramatical (verbos traduzidos exatamente nos tempos originais escritos em Grego e Hebraico).

It's always good to have the Word of God in your hand. Most literal & trustworthy translation of the Bible. Product is very good, met the expectations. Thumbs up for this one.

THE NASB is a word-by-word translation and seems not to have had the Textus Receptus as a basis for it's translation. I've read it through and have found it very useful. I think it's very good especially for those who want to read the Bible without the old "Thou's", "Thee's". The Bible is the living Word of God, so there is no way to give less then 5 stars for any of it's translations (maybe exept the new ones, which were harshly "corrected"). Anyway 5-stars for the NASB!
