It worked

The pictured and described item is what I received. It’s a SRAM Road Bike Brake cable. There are no errors that I can tell in the ad anymore. It’s very long, over 9ft. So it can work on most road style tandems as long as it has road style or dropped handlebars and hooded shifter/brake handles. The wire is stainless steel and is made in Taiwan. Installation is made easier if you take care and remember how you removed the old one. The price for one one cable is exorbitantly high at $13 but I always like to keep one on hand.

Although the item description says "for Tandem bikes," you may well need this cable if you have disc brakes. Most "rear brake cables" are sized for road bikes where the distance from the brake lever to the caliper is about 1.5 feet shorter than if disc brakes are used. I found that most "cable sets" I bought didn't have a long enough rear cable to reach my disc (and a few of the front cables were also short). Therefore, I'd recommend considering this cable if you have a large-frame bike with disc brakes. Better to throw away a foot of cable than to be a few inches too short!

This brake cable was purchased for a spare. It is the quality you would expect at a good price.

The cable I received has the mushroom shaped road bike end instead of the mountain bike end. The second star is because the description does say road bike, but overall the add is misleading

Item is not as pictured. It has a different cable end than shown in the image.

This picture shows a barrel end and description says available with either end style, but there are no options (so I figured it would be like many cables and have one at either end). I needed a barrel end for a tandem mtn. bike. I got one of the little oval road ends.

A little slow getting here but out of the control of the vendor. Thought I'd try it as a replacement brake cable for golf cart. Not prefect fit but a lot cheaper than the replacement cable for the cart

Artikelbild irreführend. Geliefert wird, wie leider zu spät in der Artikelbeschreibung gelesen ein Bremszug mit Birnennippel. Auf dem Bild ist aber ein Walznippel abgebildet.

Habe die Züge an einem Tandem verbaut. Die laufen frei undcaus diesem Grundvhabe ich mich für die Rostfrei entschieden. Qualität ist sehr gut. Nach dem Kürzen mit einem Knippex bleiben die Drähte zusammen.
