Portable CD Player, HOTT Personal Compact Disc Player with Headphones and Power Adapter, Compact Walkman with Electronic Skip Protection Anti-Shock Function

I tried it a few times with different CDs, current and battery, and had no problems. It was a gift to be used without earphones, attached to a sound system. The cord from the old walkman worked fine since this one comes only with a USB type attachment. It's plastic, a bit awkward to open, and it doesn't open very high, but if you handle it carefully, it should work just fine. The sound is good and we haven't experienced any problems with it. I give it 4 stars because they are so cheaply made (like everything else these days), and it's not exactly inexpensive. As long as it works for several years, it's worth it.

USB port did not really supplly enough power so ...to get it to work .. you need a cable to connect into the side of CD player (where the earplugs go) and the other end plugs into the AUX Jack in the Car. BUT... I had to call customer service for 2nd cable - which they sent free of charge - in order to run the player off the Car power. (the USB port didn't supply enough power to run it) SO...the cable I received I plugged into the CD player -where the AC power plug goes - and other end plugs into my Cigarette lighter with an adapter for the cable.

Updated review---I received an unsolicited email from this company's Customer Service Department. Even though I threw the defective player away, they have offered to refund my money. Hopefully my faulty player was an anomaly and not the norm. Based on that maybe I will retry this player to see if a different one works as it should. Original review follows....Less than one star. Skips terribly despite the anti skip feature and now is not working at all. Barely used-total waste of money.

I returned to amazon because CD stopped playing in a few minutes. The company who makes/sells this sent me another one (for free) and the same thing happened again. The seller was always very nice. But I can't get the player to work properly. I'm going to send it to my brother, the electronics whiz, to see what the problem is and if it can be fixed.

I just received this today. I tried it out and everything works well. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because#1 I have very small ears and the earbuds were too big. They fell right out of my ears but I did have an extra pair of earbuds that I could use#2 the power adapter cord was not long enough to go from my treadmill to my outlet

Our new 2019 car does not have a CD player, as is the case with most all new vehicles. We wished to be able to play CDs while travelling but not to download albums to the cell phone - very time-consuming and limiting. A knowledgeable friend researched to find this portable player that he thought would work for us. It took a while to figure out how to connect it to a suitable port so as to play CDs through the car's sound system. Now we are about to try it out for an upcoming lengthy trip! - This HOTT player may not work in all new vehicles but is compatible with our Toyota Avalon.

I purchased this CD player to use while driving since my car's installed CD player stopped working. Despite the Amazon picture showing sound coming from the unit without the headphones attached, I was not able to use it this way.The sound quality with headphones (I used my own since I suspected I would need to return the CD player) seemed quite good.I was disappointed, however, not to be able to use this CD player the way I intended. Therefore I returned it.The return and refund were handled quite professionally with no problems.

I use this for listening to meditation CDs (long story short I missed a window of time where I could have uploaded them to my computer). This is probably one of the lowest quality portable CD players I've ever used. It skips even with ski protection on, starts at the end of the disk if I've listened to a disk before. Sound through the headphones is scratchy and poorly insulated. Don't get me wrong, it does the trick, but was not worth the 60 some odd dollars I paid for it. Save your money and buy a 20 dollar one instead, the quality should be about the same. I understand I bought outdated technology, and the companies that are going to build them are going to build this for the lowest possible budget and try to make the highest profit. Save your money. Dumpster dive for a Sony Diskman, or double check your parents' attic for the one you left that you had while you were in college.
