I really like this pre-poo a lot. It made my hair very soft. It smells really good on my hair. It did help my hair a lot before I started washing my hair.

Note: My hair is 3C/4A in texture, with medium density and low porosity, and is mid-back length. I am in the process of growing my hair as long as possible, which involves length retention. Because of this, I have been on the search for pre-shampoo detangling products that will reduce the amount of friction that I experience when combing my hair, and reduce the possibility of breakage or damage.Immediately upon applying the detangler to my fingertips, I could tell that it had a very high level of slip. To the point where there were actual visible strings that stretched when I pulled my hands apart. That same level of slip was felt in my hair when I combed it either with my fingers, or with a wide tooth comb.I used this detangler in two ways: Either leaving it in my hair for 30 minutes prior to the detangling process before shampooing, or immediately after I had begun the detangling process when my hair was wet in the shower.I was very impressed with how easily small knots to larger tangles were removed without having any issues with straining the hair, or feeling any pull on my scalp. Additionally, the product was easy to rinse out of my hair and didn't leave any residue or greasiness on my strands.The one downside is that the formula is incredibly heavily scented. I wish that they had an unscented version of this, because the scent is strong enough that it actually gave me a mild headache while using it. Which is a shame, because it's a very powerful formula that I would like to use going forward - but its scent may be a drawback. The fragrance is the reason why I removed a star from my review - otherwise, this would absolutely have been one of the best pre-shampoo detangling products I've ever used.

I ordered this for the members of my family who have curly hair to use. The scent is really nice. Most importantly, this is very hydrating and does what it's supposed to do. It detangles hair really well before shampoo. It keeps a lot more moisture in hair than shampoo and conditioner alone. I notice on the two heads that used this product, their curls are more defined after washing. Their hair also looks less dry. It doesn't seem to weigh their hair down. I think on my straight hair that's a bit more fine, it would weigh my hair down. For curly hair or wavy hair, I think this is a really nice product.

Often times I wear my hair curly since I have a natural curl in my hair. Doing this though means I have to put quite a bit of product in it to keep the curls tight and frizz free. When I am ready to wash my hair after I have had it curly for about two days, I have the worst tangles in the world. The curls combined with all the product that I need to use make it a nightmare to wash my hair. I was beyond thrilled to find this product. I start by putting it on my hands and running through my hair carefully, and then as I add more, I begin to carefully comb out my tangles. I have washed my hair immediately after doing this and also waited until the next morning and in both situations it makes your hair so much easier to wash and super silky. This is a must for anyone with curly hair who uses a lot of product.

This arrived like-new but with no outer or inner security seals—yikes!I got this to try with my frizzy, dry, naturally-wavy, 2a-2b, fine blonde hair. In the past, admittedly, Hask products in general have been too heavy for my hair, but I was still hopeful since this specified; “for all hair types”. This detangler was a lot thicker than I expected—like a conditioner and unlike anything I’ve tried in the past(ie detangler sprays etc. But it smelled great!It worked pretty instantly to detangle my hair. My brush glided right through! I also followed up my shampoo with their leave-in conditioner “Twist Tamer”. Using both proved to be too heavy for my fine hair, sadly. It looked weighed-down after the shower and was soon clumpy and greasy the next morning.I do think this is a good product, but you have to adjust proportions to your hair type etc. Less is more. I would also recommend not using this and their leave-in conditioner in the same sitting unless you have thick hair. I’m going to alternate products every-other-shower moving forward, as I don’t have any issues as long as I use them individually. Hope this helps!

My friend says that this is a nice detangler. It does have a strong scent. They said that it did help with detangling, made it a lot easier to wash their hair.
