Loving this series of books, even if it's just to read! :-)

Was looking forward to this and it was worth the wait.

This is another really good sourcebook for for the Doctor Who RPG. The 5th Doctor's era is a personal favorite as his adventures were some of the first Doctor Who I ever saw. This book covers Five's adventures very well with good continuity notes and possible adventure seeds for each episode. It also features strong insights into the personalities of the era's big characters. Adric, Teagan and Turlough are all somewhat controversial characters among fans. The sourcebook does a great job of explaining their personalities in such a way that a good GM can play them as we saw on the show while highlighting aspects of their characters that can play up their more sympathetic sides.The only big downside is that material for Peri is a bit thin. The book does give everything you'd need to use her in game, but I wouldn't have minded some more detail. Of course, that's likely being saved for use in the 6th Doctor sourcebook so I can understand the decision.Apart from that, my only real complaint is that the series continues to assume most players will want to control characters from the show. Again, ideas on how to bring new characters onto the TARDIS are rather thin. This is especially sad to see in a 5th Doctor book as he tended to have a larger than usual crew with him most of the time.Still, if you're looking to have some fun with the 5th Doctor and his friends this book will serve you well.

A fine and informative sourcebook, that offers great ideas for the game.
