Great product, easy to install
Installed this on my bathroom door yesterday. Don't be intimidated by the need to drill holes in the door. So long as you've got a good drill, installation is actually pretty easy; it only took me about 20 minutes. What's more, the product is working great. I installed it because my door opens directly onto my toilet, often with a bang, and I didn't want to damage the door or the toilet.I installed it without using any of the additional spacer which come with it, and the door opens to exactly 90 degrees. Moreover, within the allowed range of motion, it moves very easily. The product is pretty discrete, and looks much nicer than some of the hinge-pin products which do basically the same thing, but which aren't as aesthetically pleasing and which leave smudges on the door.My only suggestion would be if Haalt offered this product in multiple colors, it might be nice to match the brass color of the hinge with the metal of the product. That said, I'm thoroughly happy with this product, it works smoothly and looks great!

Overall a good product
Installation was a snap! The instructions were simple and clear. I was a little disappointed when, after only a few weeks, on of the hinge stops broke. The little allen set screw could be a little more beefy. Buy a back up set if you buy these.Overall, I like the product

Failed fast
This is a clever idea that, but they don’t last. Mine failed after opening and closing the door about 50 times. The thin piece of metal (probably shim stock) broke at the hole. Now I have to fix the door and jam to get screws back in where I had to drill holes to install this.

Has potential, but... interesting design, but poor material, and flexibility/adjustability
Overall, I found this to be a very interesting product. It's obviously an effective design for applications where traditional doorstops can't be used, but definitely has some room for improvement.I installed these on 2 solid-core doors w/ 4" hinges (4 screws on each side of the hinge). I used the middle screw holes for this. Here are the issues that I had to overcome & suggestions:1. The default setting stops the door at about 75 degrees, which was not enough (I needed it to open 90 degrees). The metal strip/band isn't long enough to allow it to open more. What I ended up doing was (A) reamed the set-hole on the metal strip to be closer to the edge, so allow the door to open a tiny bit more, (2) filed down the plastic anchor stop by about 1/3 of its original length, on both sides, so it allow the door to open a tiny bit more. By doing all these modifications got it to stop the door at just about 90 degrees. Although these modifications worked for me, I wonder if it's still strong enough to be durable.2. The metal band's width was a tiny bit too big to fit through the hinge's screw holes. I reamed the holes a bit larger to allow the metal band to move through freely. I'd recommend the maker to supply different length metal strips/bands for different opening angles & hinge screw hole positions, or just a single longer piece with multiple holes/positions.3. The set screws for the plastic anchor stop strips the plastic material, but, this isn't a big deal, since the tube that it goes into will prevent the screw from coming out completely. But, I'd recommend the maker to use hardier material for the anchor stop, such as metal. And, I'd recommend using roll pin instead of screw.Another thought I had is to swap the metal band with a metal cable, because cables are more flexible & would slide through the hinge's screw holes smoother. And, cables could be crimped at any length, to adjust for any opening angles. If this ever fail on me in the future, I'd give this solution a try...Final thought is this design has good potential, but definitely needs improvements. If improved to be more durable & flexible/adjustable, it could be a 5-star item.

Not for everybody. Challenging installation. Door would not open far enough.
I gave it a 3-star because I like the idea. It did not work for me though. I returned it. 1) It would not allow the door to open as far as I wanted. 2) The recess-ing of the nylon tubes into the door jam is not simple modification and depending on where the hinge holes are relative to the jam edges ... a mistake could make for a bad day ... damaged wall. I elected not to risk it.Very creative idea for the right situation though.

Simple
It was very easy to install and did the trick as we wanted a stopper that could not be seen. Installed it about four months ago and it has been very durable

Didn't Get to Use
I am editing this review because I did receive the replacement parts, but they were 3 weeks late due to the USPS. The envelope was postmarked July 12th, and I didn't recieve the replacement part until August 8th, which was after I had already returned the item due to the return window closing. The seller did respond with a resolution, however, the USPS somehow delayed the delivery by three weeks.Thank you.I ordered and received the hinge door stop, and drilled the requied holes using a hammer drill and masonary bit (quite large), as per the instructions. When I wen to assemble the stop, the provided allen (hex) key was too small for the set screws that came with the set. I tried using my own allen keys, both standard and metric, and nothing would fit these set screws. Contacted seller, who admitted that there was an issue, and promised to send new parts to correct it. The new parts never arrived. I returned this set for a refund, and now have a big hole in the tie beam behind my door hinge.
