Webroot Internet Security Plus

I got this product as a package deal when I got my HP Envy Touch Smart laptop from Best Buy in 2013. I never bothered with security programs before for my PCs, believing that they were a rip off, but after using this one, I can say I'm a very happy customer! My laptop has remained as fast as when I bought it, and with it's extra defense options for android, I also stream lined my two year old tablet and my year old phone. All three of my devices are as fast as they ever were. The only thing that did irritate me, was the need for my android devices to have a password or pin on it to protect it from unauthorized access. However, the program does a nice in-the-background scan of all the apps I download without slowing down my device. There is also the option of clearing all device history remotely if you ever do lose your phone or tablet, so if you work with your own devices that require encryption such as protection of other people's personal information, Webroot is a great product. I have been able to maintain a safer PC, Tablet, and Smart-phone thanks to this easy-to-install program. I highly recommend it to anyone really looking for a good product at a low price, as well as anyone looking to maintain their devices at peak performance for as long as they can. In PC Magazine, this was ranked among the top 10, and for good reason: it works without slowing down your computer like other internet protection software like Norton.

So far we are extremely happy with Webroot ISP 2015. One month of use on three different computers and wow! It's really fast. Full scans on my i5 laptop in 5 minutes with no system bogging. AVG took 20 minutes, sucked the life out of everything, and was constantly saying I had malware that was "locked" and couldn't be removed without "paid" company assistance. I had a local IT guy check it out and he said none of the "locked" programs and files were malware, but instead belonged there. We had Norton and McAfee a few years ago and we often had to stop working to let the scan finish. Memory hogs. Webroot is consistently high on the ratings lists and it is also based in Colorado. AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender are all international companies based in countries that do not typically honor U.S. law. Many of the worst hacks and malware come out of that part of the world, too, which makes me a bit wary that three of the top five security software packages coincidentally hale from there. Suspicious. Webroot is really easy and fast to install with no pauses or difficult configuration issues. Two minutes and I was done.

Better than Norton and McAfee without being resource hungry. I've been using this exact same Security Package for the last 3 years and never had any problems where my network security has been threatened. Installation is virtually plug and go and you aren't forced into creating an account to install and use their software. Something Norton changed. I voted with my feet against that change and I'm not the least bit sorry. Webroot's a strong competitor and definitely worth trying out and I'll continue to buy it as long as they don't demand I create an account just in order to install it. I don't need an account nor another password to install software, only the product key that should legally recognizes my purchase as legitimate. I also prefer to install from a CD versus being forced to download online. Just fewer problems likely to be encountered IMHO. I really like these guys. They're good and their software is dependable and there's never any lag time noticed on my computers. Very glad I made the change.

As others have stated, this security software is very is lightweight on your processor speed of your computer. I'm no computer tech, but I like how it scans the sites you visit on the internet, and let's you know if there is an issue with the site BEFORE you visit an infected site. This software is good for up to 3 devices, it comes with a CD in a protective case. In my opinion, this is by far the best security software I have used. This is my review I left on the official Webroot website: "Webroot was been installed on my laptop for a little over 2 weeks now. For being such a short time, time will be the only true test. I purchased a brand new Dell laptop and I searched for 4 days on the internet for the best anti-virus software on the market for 2015. Webroot popped up around 40 times, and then I checked Amazon, and it was ranked # 1. So I bought it, and I'm glad I did. -It is very quick and easy to install. -It works just fine with the pre installed McFee software on my computer. -It is lightweight on the memory. -IT DOESNT SLOW YOUR COMPUTER DOWN. -The price is great -Works with 3 devices I do recommend it! I can't give this product a good review because it caused me a Saturday's worth of headaches that finally made me decide to abandon Webroot and return to Kaspersky. Here's what happen, I first put Webroot on my old Dell Inspiron laptop. Good easy install with no problems. So I moved to my much more powerful tower PC, here's the configuration; AMD FX-8370 4.3ghz 8core cpu Gigabyte 990FX mb 16gb DDR3-1800 ram Gigabyte AMD Radeon R9 270 OC graphics card Samsung 500gb SSD 2 x (WD 1tb hd) First attempt: Removed Kaspersky from the system and do a restart. Install Webroot using the second keycode and the software reports fully compatible and installed. Shutdown the system and do a restart, the system crashes can not activate Windows 10. After a few attempts to rectify the problem and getting a different problem issue reported by Windows PC Diagnostic. "Bad Pool Header," "Bad Pool Data," and something about a corrupt Kernel. . . Only way to repair was to restore my backup that I made before attempting this installation. Second attempt: Pretty much an identical repeat to the first attempt. However, the error messages from the Diagnostic program were all a bit different each time. . . So this cost me two install key codes, a day of PC repairs and disappointment in Webroot. . . so I purchased another year of Kaspersky, installed it and I have no problems what-so-ever!!! I won't bad mouth the product but I really think folks need to be made aware of the problems I ran into while trying to use the Webroot product!

This is the quickest antivirus and over the many years I've used it I've never had a virus. Strongly recommend it.

Installed easily , have not had any slow downs . So far I am very happy I switched from MacAfee (who turned on my credit card auto payment without permission) and slowed down my computer all the time for updates or maintenance (scans , notices etc. ) Webroot scans are Fast and didn't slow me down . Will update review if any problems arise Update 2022 still using webroot. No problems , no slowness ,no viruses . 100% satisfied .
