Blood Pressure Monitoring Made Easy (and Accurate!)
I read a lot of reviews of these types of devices. The smartheart seemed to have the most consistent reviews. My wife suffers from high blood pressure and our doctor suggested we monitor it, especially as we tried new medication to try and control it better.Unit: Well made, not cheap. Comes with a case in which to carry it. BP reading is clear and easy to see. Unit tracks readings for you with a memory function.Use: There was some trepidation initially on whether it would be easy to use. I should not have worried. We read the directions once, and since then have not had to review them. Use is SUPER EASY.Accuracy: This was the biggest concern going into this purchase. All the units we looked at had some reviews complaining about how accurate the readings were compared to what they get at the doctor. Since you can take your BP with this device anytime you want, we decided to track it regularly at certain times during the day/week. These included before and after eating, when feeling relaxed, and at times when my wife felt stressed/headaches, etc. Using this data we compared when she went for her BP at the doctors office and her general feelings at that time (she usually is stressed going to the doctor). What we found is that the range of the BP readings were extremely close when tied to outside factors.Overall: Well made and accurate. Easy to use. Great device.

GREAT MONITOR! ...don't worry, your probably not dying, yet
I got this due to having semi-high blood pressure. I figured i should be more regular in checking it just in case. I like this monitor because I get consistent and reliable results, it also gives you an average of your results. Thats about all i use it for. It has a sensor that indicates if you have an irregular heart beat, which i don't trust completely. I'm fairly young. No serious heart issues have ever been diagnosed. I donate blood fairly often and have never been told that it sounds irregular by them or my doctor. If i got that reading back to back to back I might check the issue further, but that never has happened. So, take that for what you will, but overall the monitor has been a good addition to my medicine cabinet, it's small, and the price was good!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I purchased 2 of these Wrist-Cuffs as Christmas gifts. The one for our home wasn't opened until mid-March, so it's now ineligible to return - but, it is NOT accurate. Total waste of money. I have a wrist within the required size & it's reading me at 220/119! Crazy-high readings both yesterday & today. I took it with me to the Cardiologist office & the front office girls both told me they NEVER use wrist readings & that you can't trust these things at all. They read me at 122/90 with the arm-cuff.

it works
I am hoping for it's accuracy since I have nothing to compare it to unless I see my doctor.

It's comfortable, easy to use
I can't say whether this is accurate or not, as I bought this to help me do my own prenatal care. So I have no comparisons to offer. However, I've used it multiple times, both following the instructions & deviating (using while I felt a bit lightheaded to see if BP had something to do with the cause). It's comfortable, easy to use, and, *in my opinion only*, it's accurate for what I need it for.The memory function is a great feature, too! I have kids, so papers get lost. Fact of life around here. Thus, I depend upon the memory to show me how my BP fluctuates over time. Easy to plug a reading into memory & to recall it later. Deleting is a cinch. For those who know nothing of BP numbers, it has some helpful features - it lets you know if your reading's normal, concerning, or high. Plus, it takes your pulse & lets you know if there was an abnormal heartbeat going on during the reading. Check out your numbers online, especially if you know what your normal is (and if that normal is different from everyone else's normal) so you can be more informed about your body. Don't let all the "only doctors can tell you if your numbers are good or bad" disclaimers scare you. Reading BP numbers is a simple thing to do, and once you know where the ranges are - specifically, where your ranges are, you'll be able to read with even greater accuracy than a doctor who doesn't know your inner workings as well as you do.All in all, it's helping me become more familiar with & knowledgeable about the way my body works during pregnancy, which is invaluable. I'll certainly be using this to keep an eye on my BP once baby is earthside.I definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't know how or care to do it the manual way. It's good to know what's going on, when to seek medical attention, and when treatment at home is enough.

No help from seller or Mfg.
I have an Azeri but bought this because it's smaller, lighter and portable if I travel.. It takes much more time to get the reading.I sent 2 msg. (mfg. and seller) after it stopped working a little more than a month after purchase. I honestly told them I dropped it with the cord still dangling from a low coffee table. I also dropped the Azeri a few times but it works fine. I wanted to know if it can be repaired or replaced. I did not get a response of any kind from either msg. or seller.H & S sells this on their catalog with note that it is most accurate, another reason I bought it but I didn't see much difference from Azeri cuff.No response is not a good in any case and it is not well made as the Azeri I have.

works well - easy to use
This is working well for me, provides consistent readings. Never had a problem reading my BP unless I was moving around at the same time. You do need to position the unit at the correct spot on your wrist, and you have to have your wrist elevated to your heart level, but with that I have had no issues and solid consistent performance.

Good monitor with a large cuff thrown in.
I need a larger cuff and this monitor came with one. It is accurate and I didn’t have to pay extra for a large cuff. The smaller cuff will go on my arm but the reading isn’t accurate if the cuff is not the correct size.
