3 pcs 12mm Face Leather Foam Replacement for HTC Vive Pro

This is a good replacement for the Vive pro. Considering that vive doesn't even support replacement foam yet. I have tried a few different foams I had before buying some off Amazon. I tried the two from the original Vive they were too small then I tried few from a Samsung Odyssey they are a little shy but work in a pinch. These however do work I was worried a little about these as they have kinda hard sharp sides from the molding process however they lay flat on the HMD and I never notice it during wearing it.They do have a Pleather type fabric on the front and a soft Velcro on the back to stick to the HMD.This makes for a basic non-soaking face foam for the HMD just wipe and go. It does have some perforations in the material which I believe in longer game play will cause it to eventually soak the foam but, after a few hours of game play didn't feel soaked like the one that came with the Pro did.One word of caution is that because this doesn't soak it's not as comfortable in long play. It has that sticky feeling like Pleather or leather car seats on a hot day on your bare leg. Also, and of more importance is the worry that the sweat will find it way into the electronic parts of the HMD.All in all its nice to have some replacements and I hope some point they will make a soft fabric one like they did for my Samsung. I uploaded a picture to show case the fabric Samsung, this Pro version and the original Wide foam from the Vive for comparison.

I sweat a lot more, much faster with these on. However even a short break away from your face the leather cools down so that when you put it back on it's like ice on your hot face. I can definitely recommend them.

They dont fit the vive pro, it allows light in on the sides.

These pads are much thinner than the original so you face goes farther into the headset. That makes your face touch the lenses and is very uncomfortable. The thinner pad also makes the headset fit looser on the sides and that lets a lot of light in!

Pros:* Relatively easy to clean due to the non-absorbent surface, making them good for when you need to share your Vive Pro.* Very inexpensive.* Reasonably durable. I've used one for hours without causing any damage. This included taking the foam off and putting it back on a few times.Cons:* Since these do not absorb sweat, it runs down into your eyes or onto the lenses. Worst-case scenario, it could get inside the headset. I've heard of this frying headsets before so it makes me wary of long sessions using this type of foam.* These are thinner than the original face foam, so the nose rubber (light-blocker) built-in to the headset presses more into my face. Note: Don't try to pull the nose rubber off a Vive Pro unless you're committed to having them gone -- it is glued on and won't re-adhere well. I ended up using black electrical tape to reattach mine.* These do not have the little plastic tab at the center to help with alignment when attaching the foam.Conclusion:These are a good inexpensive source of replacement foam covers for the Vive Pro, especially if you are going to share your heatset with others for relatively short periods of time. I would much prefer to be able to buy more of the original design, however.

I’ve had these face pads for only a short while, but they have been working great so far.I prefer a thicker cushion to balance the pressure across the face slightly better, but these have been working just fine. There is some noticeable light leakage around the nosepiece, which may be partly due to the Vive pro design. I believe a thicker cushion would help, if not completely solve, this problem.All in all, it seems to be holding up well and I do recommend it, especially based on the price for 3 cushions.

I like this better than the foam that comes with the Vive. Its not the nicest thing in the world but it gets the job done.

Perfect fit on the VIVE Pro, good balance of padding and FOV while still maintaining comfort and no light leakage. Much better than the stock foam that acts as a sweat sponge.
