"VOCALOID" is singing voice synthesis technology and application software that can create artificial singing voices on a computer simply by inputting lyrics and melodies. The VOCALOID keyboard "VKB-100" is a keyboard that allows you to sing lyrics in real time and enjoy playing, realized by this "VOCALOID". By switching the voice database called "singing voice library" recorded from actual human voices, you can use the voices of various singers. By connecting with a dedicated application for smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth, you can add singers such as "Hatsune Miku" and enter lyrics in advance to enjoy playing original songs. You will need the app to get the voicebank you want, just screenshot the pages and use Google translate to figure out what every button does.The device itself works as you expect, also arrived very quickly and safely

The Vocaloid keytar
It's a keytar produced by Yamaha that supports 5 voice banks: vy1 (default), Hatsune Miku, Megpoid (Gumi), IA, and Yuzuki Yukari. When you first get the keyboard you'll only be able to access vy1. They give you the option to unlock one of the other voice banks for free using the app which is region locked. I have uploaded the app for Android onto the Internet archive for anyone who isn't able to download it. The voice banks remain unlocked on the device once purchased and do not require the app after the initial unlock.I also uploaded a machine translated PDF of the manual for the keyboard and application on the Internet archive as well.This product is absolutely fantastic.

Pretty Nice
It was smaller than expected and a cheap sort of feel but it is the real thing. I got Vocaloid software and anything related and Ive got to say though this is an impressive insturment that can compare. It is just like Vocaloid programs on the computer with Miku built right in. Yay! Along with other Vocaloids and even digital insturments.You have the ability to press the keys just like the programs and get the note you want. Each key just like in the program results in the pitch you want. She is built with preloaded vocals that you do have the ability to change with an App and write your lyrics. Although it is limited too but better than nothing. I am trying to figure a way to get it... I do not live in Japan -_- this is the only bad thing i have to say about it.All else you can use the built in speaker but thats no fun if it breaks from too much use. Instead though you have multiple imputs for headphones, or a seperate speaker. You even got a imput for an Amp! I think I saw a bluetooth icon too. The insturment also runs on batteries or comes with a wall imput too for more confidence I do still love batteries though I wish it had a Lithium Ion or something built in.Pretty good though it is Yamaha and Vocaloid so the price is not surprising. It is the real thing but the App is the only downside as its not available in US devices only in Japan. Why does Japan get the best stuff... with the App its the full Vocaloid Keytar.
