bought this for looking at thermal loss of walls external to my property... did the job but fiddly to use with the iPhone... got an Apple connector (quite expensive) to connect it to and use it with my iPad, as the photo quality it much better... you do need to buy the apple connector for this, as other 'similar' connectors advertised don't work with the FLIR...I know I tried a couple... Overall good tool and a good buy (all FLIR Cameras are very expensive, so this was a good buy for what you get). comes in a compact little zipper case with USB charging cable...

Got it, charged it up and started using it in 5 minutes on my pixel 4. Works perfectly. Helped me trace plumbing in my walls (it shows up hot pipes behind walls easily, once they've been warm for a little while). You can also trace pipes under the floor in the same way. Leaks look like big puddles! It's brilliant for checking radiator function, too. When a radiator turns on, the heat should be spread evenly throughout. If you have cold corners then you have problems. This makes it super easy to identify such issues at a glance scientifically. It's pricey, but for me it's worth it so I can accurately find and fix plumbing problems that would be much more costly to investigate otherwise.

Bad quality, the bottom panel was falling off mine when I unboxed it, the ir camera is pretty low resolution but would probably do the job.Definitely overpriced for the low build quality.

Love this. It's perfect to identify heat sources and locations. Also good to use if you ever have a water leak where you can detect where the hot water has gone in your ceiling and walls.

Shows up my cat under the sofa just fine. Finding studs in the wall? Not so much.A fun novelty if you want to see your footprints in the carpet, or look at where your central heating pipes go under the floorboards, but not nearly sentitive or detailed enough to see "inside" of walls or objects, which is kind of what it says it can do in the marketing.Underwhelming.

Absolutely incredible piece of kit. We needed to work out why out underfloor heating wasn't working as two plumbing companies had let us down. Without this equipment we probably would have had to rip up a brand new floor. Easy to setup and use and amazing results. Really impressed that you can slide a picture to show the original overlaying the heat map image.

For the DIY'er who wants to feel like a pro. It's compact, comes in a nice protective case, and it gets the job done at a reasonable price.However, I feel like it will fall off, and keep accidentally covering part of the camera with my fingers. It's a bit fiddly to connect and I have to use an elastic band to prevent the cover slipping off.
