These blades are getting harder to find as the Troybilt chipper-shredders have been out of production for longer times. There are two sizes, so be sure to get the one that fits your unit. The blade I got fit perfectly. I have used since reinstalling, and the blade cuts very well. When I received it, I noticed that there was substantial blue discoloration of the steel in the region of the cutting edge. I do not know whether this is the result of heat treatment and tempering (a good thing), or abusive grinding (a bad thing). I suspect the former, but could not test the hardness of the blade before installing. It would be nice if Chalmers listed the steel used and commented on the heat treatment. I will assume that they made a good choice, heat treated it properly, and did not soften the edge with their grinding. If it proves otherwise, I will update the review.

I have an older Troy-Bilt super tomahawk ( prior to MTD buying them out). Although parts are getting harder to find these machines are worth their weight in gold and this replacement blade was perfect. Lots of life left on it.
