Sonic Face Cleanser and Massager Brush

Every night after I washed my face (I double cleanse with an oil-based makeup remover followed by face wash) and applied toner with a cotton pad, there was always makeup residue left on the cotton pad. This left me cringing each time, and I decided that enough was enough. In spite of using the double-cleanse method, my bare fingers were not enough to remove all traces of makeup from my face. Now - I have oily and acne-prone skin, so any preventive measures I can take to reduce clogged pores would definitely mitigate the occurrence of breakouts.Initially I tried the Clarisonic. Although it was very effective at providing a deep cleanse, the sensitive brush's bristles were still way too harsh on my sensitive skin, which caused tiny bumps everywhere on my cheeks and forehead. Then, I tried the Foreo Luna Mini 1, which did not live up to my expectations considering its high price tag (compared to the Solo Mio, which many people claim is as good, if not better, than the Foreo Luna Mini 1). For the price, one would expect there to be more than 1 speed setting.I found out about this device from Kathleen Lights' YouTube review. At first I was skeptical because of how much it costs, but the high ratings convinced me to buy it. Let me tell you, do not let the affordable price tag fool you. The Solo Mio, in my opinion, is a better option if the other contender is the Foreo Luna Mini 1. I have not tried the Luna Mini 2 so I cannot speak for its quality. Aside from being 60 bucks cheaper than the Luna Mini 1, the Solo Mio outperforms it by a landslide. Although I don't know if I'll ever need all 14 speed settings, I do opt for higher speeds on days when I wear heavier makeup, my pores feel clogged, there is flakey skin that I want to exfoliate, or if I just feel like giving myself a face massage. After using this for the past 2 weeks, my face feels softer, brighter, cleaner, and never dry. Note that I also use a topical vitamin C powder every morning as a part of my skincare routine. At the end of the day, I no longer see makeup residue after I tone my face with a cotton pad and my acne has become less severe (they go away on their own quicker, too). This device does give a deep cleanse, but I did not experience any transient breakouts after initial use of it, which I was really afraid of when I tried the Clarisonic. I believe this tool has some other benefits such as stimulating collagen production and improving blood circulation, so in the next several months I hope to see more improvements to the texture and hyperpigmentation on my face.Definitely a product to recommend to family and friends!

I bought the Mio two years ago because I wanted the Foreo but I didn't want to pay the 140 dollars. I always wanted a spin brush but I really started to research and the Foreo seemed like the perfect fit, it was rechargeable, no buying removable heads, and it was more sanitary, but still the price though. I found this option and boy was I glad, it even seemed better than the Foreo because of the speed levels and the cover for the outlet. I took the chance and hoped it worked, I wanted to see if maybe this could convince me to spend the almost 150 dollars on the name brand one. Nope, it didn't, it convinced me to keep my money. I love this Mio so much that I won't even think of the Foreo anymore. I've had it two years already and I still love it and use it twice every day. The only thing is it is starting to lose charge faster but I mean it's been two years. I will end up buying a new one when it eventually gives out but it is still going so who knows how long that will be.

I'm so glad I purchased this. I've been a Clarisonic user for over 10 years, but recently a friend was raving about the Foreo and I decided that I wanted to give it a chance. I was eyeing the Foreo Luna 2, but was having problems with the $200 price tag; I'm ok to spend money on quality products that will last (I've had the same Clarisonic for 10 years), but I just wasn't convinced that it would be the best facial cleansing tool. But then Amazon happened to recommend me the Solo Mio, and it was so cheap and had great reviews that I decided to go for it.I've had this about a month now and I love it. This does the same exact job as the Clarisonic, but this is way more convenient. It is also more gentle, so I can use it twice a day. It helps give my skin a deeper clean and gets all that makeup off. It is also very easy to travel with and to store on the sink counter. I haven't had to charge the battery yet, which is amazing! And it is so easy to keep clean. No more replacing Clarisonic heads for me!FYI - I got the 'For Him' version because I didn't want a hot pink tool. As far as I can tell, it is exactly the same as the girl's version.

I ABSOLUTELY love this thing! It has made such a change in my skin. Even texture, clearer pores, gentle exfolient, and it's like a massage on my face! I primarily use the finer bristled side. It has an easy on button, is completely waterproof, and you can adjust the speed up and down with ease as well. And the charge? I've charged it once and bought this in mid October. I use it once a day. I am impressed!Update 3/1/18 - My Mio FINALLY ran out of its first charge. So the initial charge lasted 4.5 months. I've used it at minimum once a day, probably twice a day half the week.

I purchased this July 2016 and was very excited to use this for facial exfoliation, and maybe help with clogged pores. Unfortunately, the battery could not hold a charge and it stopped functioning after 10-15 seconds of use. I tried charging it and using it again several times, but eventually gave up. This seems to be a common issue in the other lower-star reviews too (perhaps a quality control issue?)It is now a pink paperweight.

This solo mio is great! It works just as good if not better than the other name brand that cost $200. I know because I have both and I use this one over the other. I like the design of the Solo compared to others. The angle allows for me to get the sides of my nose and close to my hairline. It works well with any type of face cleaner or alone just to massage. I'm happy with the results and I love how clean my skin feels after every use.
