OHi Plant-Based Superfood Bars

I had no idea that your product was created and manufactured in Hawaii. On reflection it fits. I have enjoyed your bars both Double Chocolate and Super Green.Mahalo

chocolate lover rejoice?? hmm no chocolate lovers should look elsewhere is more like it!! this is one of the most disgusting chocolate based superfood bar i have had and i am a big fan of cacao based chocolate superfood energy type bars!!my first pic is how they show their bar in pics here, it looks yummy and everything looks evenly distributed throughout the bar. Second pic is what i received and no it was not a hot day/s out, either way that wouldn't explain the excessive cacao nibs and unsweeten chocolate in throughout these bars (even the inside looks like the outside).. its like a glob of not fully melted cacao nibs & unsweeten chocolate got stuck together and ended up as bars, that is literally all i taste with the occasional almond finding its way through the overwhelming salty cacoa taste these bars have..heck i might as well pull out my tupperware with cacao nibs in it and eat them straight if i want to taste only them!!needless to say, can't recommend these to anyone that prefer a slightly bitter, neutral or sweeten goodies. these are best for those that love really bitter/tart chocolate based foods.. Although these attempt to be made with good ingredients/etc, i am still rating them only 1 star for batch i receive just don't seem to have been made right at all.. Although not a major concern to me, they are for their small size actually quite high in calories (260) and saturated fat (18% of daily value for those on 2000 calories a day needs is kinda high but, even worse for us smaller folks on a 1200-1500 daily calories) and after seeing the current $30 plus price today for just 8 bars (like 14.5 ounces in total), i can say that i am glad these were disgusting to me for i would of hated paying that every week for something i really like..

This is a review for the OHi Double Chocolate Superfood Bar, Whole Food, Natural Ingredients, Plant Based & Protein Rich, Grain-Free, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Vegan & Paleo.I have mixed feelings about these bars. I buy and try out a lot of “healthy” treats like these because it’s nice to eat something that is good for you and tastes good as well. I know these type bars are not going to taste like good old chocolate candy, but if they’re sweet and have a good consistency I’m on board.Saying that, these bars just didn’t taste very good. I love chocolate, but could barely taste the chocolate in them - the coconut was pretty overwhelming.The bars themselves should be refrigerated right away and you’ll see why when you get them. They generally don’t look all that appetizing but that doesn’t matter so much to me.They are only somewhat chewy and crunchy which is surprising considering the ingredients - I wish they were more so.Still, if you like coconut with a hint of chocolate and want something that is filling and (probably) good for you, you might really like these. For me and my husband the taste of these just wasn’t our cuppa tea.

The Double Chocolate tastes okay. It's nothing special, but it certainly isn't bad, either. It does have a "healthy" taste to it, with chocolate flavor and some sweetness.I don't recommend ordering these online, at least not if they arrive like mine did, which was in an "insulated" pouch inside of an envelope with no cooling packs. They definitely were not cold or even cool when they arrived, as it was a hot day. I forget, but I think that the box said that these could be stored for up to seven (maybe it was 14) days without refrigeration. There's no way to tell how many days/months these have been stored in a warehouse at who-knows-what temperature. I suppose the same is true if you buy them locally, but at least you they'd be cold when you buy them.It might be because they weren't cold for some extended period of time, but my stomach gets a bit upset when I eat these. It's not so bad that I didn't try more than one, but it's obvious enough that I won't be ordering any more of them.

This OHi Double Chocolate Superfood bar w Whole Food, Natural Ingredients is very tasty, and has a somewhat dry crumbly cookie texture that you'd expect from refrigerated natural ingredients such as almonds and organic coconut nectar and seeds mashed into a bar shape. I like the nut flavor that is prominent, and this has just the right amount of sweetness. They recommend you eat this either from the fridge or frozen, which will help it last longer, due to the lack of preservatives and natural ingredients. This tastes good room temp to me as well, however, since I like the bar slightly chewier and moist. Overall, a healthy and tasty product I'd recommend.
