TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Orange Cover and Faceplate

This cover & faceplate fits our TI-84 perfectly and is such a bright orange that I'll never lose it. You just have to have a case to protect these expensive calculators.

Setup of the cover and faceplate is pretty easy, but be sure you snap the part that goes over the keys into it really well (you will hear it engaging into the slot) or you will have buttons such as the on switch stick. The cover does a good job of protecting the calculator as you carry it around in your backpack or bag, and doesn’t add significant weight to it or bulkiness as you use it. $25 seems a little high for what you get, but at the end of the day I’d rather have a good cover than none at all as the cover is a heck of a lot cheaper than a new calculator!

The faceplate is visibly thicker than the original so the calculator buttons sit flush with the faceplate rather than above it (like they do on the original).They are still usable for the most part, but the up arrow tends to get stuck in the down position because the edge of it slides under the faceplate. It is really annoying. The cover works but is more difficult to get on and off than the original. I love the color but I regret the purchase.

This faceplate is exactly what I was looking for. It worked very well. It does however sometimes get stuck when you put the lid on the back of the calculator but otherwise, no complaints.
