The Treasury of Oz: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the Marvelous Land of Oz, Ozma of Oz, Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz, the Road to Oz, the Em Paperback – August 3, 2007

The Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorite movies, and I wanted to fianlly read the book version. I was thrilled when I found this 15-in-1 collection.As others have said, it does not include the origianl illistrations, which is a shame. Also, I am not sure what marketing executive decided that magenta lettering on a cyan background would be a good idea. It works for the title, but trying to read the back is a nightmare.Also, the book full of typos. In Ozma of Oz, I believe, the letter "p" was randomly capitolized at the begininng of some words. In a later story whole paragraphs are missing. It was very annoying.If you can get around those problems, then this is the colletion for you.

As the book is in large format, it would have been better if the cover had been thicker and at least a few illustrations had been also included in.It is good to have all the stories of Oz in one place but the book does not have a classic children's story book feeling to it at a glance as all stories are crammed in without formatting the book beautifully.The cover illustration looks smudgy.The book looks like a large text book.It will be difficult to hold and read this book while you are in bed.It can serve the purpose of having all Oz stories together in one book which is a plus point it may deserve.

As far as the item itself, I'm not sure if I missed something in the description or what ... I was expecting 15 books in a slipcase or similar, and received 15 books in one giant volume. NOT what I was hoping for, but it IS what I wanted to read, and as I said, I probably missed something in the description.It was shipped quickly and in excellent shape, as promised.THANK YOU!!!

This collection of all 15 of L. Frank Baum's "Oz" stories in one book was the cheaper of the two I found, and I can see why. It's riddled with typos. This doesn't affect the quality or the timelessness of the stories, and if you simply want to enjoy them at a lower cost, then this book is fine, but I have never seen a volume with more typos.

I purchased this book for my husband who is a Wizard of Oz fan. It is a wonderful collection of Frank Baum Oz stories in one book. The stories are so imaginative and fun to read. The only thing missing are the pictures that assist the imagination. I purchased the soft cover which is a great value. Highly recommended for Oz fans.

I'M REALLY GLAD TO HAVE THIS, BUT THOUGHT IT WAS INDIVIDUAL BOOKS.aM GOING TO THE oz FESTIVAL IN CHESTERTON, IN IN SEPTEMBER TO MEET THE SURVIVING MUNCHKINS AND GET THEIR AUTOGRAPHS.ALSO GOT THE LIFE OF JERRY MAREN. HE IS STILL WITH US, SO IT WILL BE A BIG DEAL FOR MY GRANDAUGHTER, AS THE WIZARD OF OZ IS ONE OF HER FAVORITE MOVIES.

I almost need a magnifying glass to read this print, but it is fun to have this collection.Who knew the ruby red slippers weren't that color after all??

Really a tough go. It's much more text than we planned and it hasn't been useful to us as background for our grandchildren on the land of Oz.

Only buy for a word reference not as a storytelling book there are no pictures and it’s cheaply put together but it was inexpensive and it’s good to see what story u r looking for or for reference etc

Ich habe schon lange eine Gesamtausgabe der Oz-Geschichten gesucht und nun gefunden. Dass sie auf Englisch ist, ist auch kein Problem. Da es für Kinder geschrieben wurde, sollte es auch für Erwachsene ganz einfach sein in die Geschichten abzutauchen und sie mitzuerleben. Man muss die Figuren einfach lieb gewinnen, so niedlich und einzigartig hat L. Frank Baum seine Charaktere gestaltet.Auch schreibt er in einem ganz einfachen Stil und wird somit nie langatmig.Die einzigen beiden Makel an der Ausgabe haben nichts mit der Geschichte zu tun, sondern mit der Ausgabe an sich. Das Titelbild sieht aus wie aus dem Internet runtergeladen und ist sehr grobpixelig. Innen sind die Seiten in zwei Spalten aufgeteilt und macht es dem Leser schwer länger an den niedlichen Geschichten zu lesen. Nach einer Weile müssen die Augen einfach müde werden, was auch mit der ganz kleinen Schrift zu tun haben kann. Was zu entschuldigen wäre. Immerhin sind in diesem Buch ganze 15 Bücher untergebracht!!! Also wer ein Fan von Oz ist, sollte einfach die Geduld und den Spaß mitbringen, um die Geschichten um Dorothy, die Vogelscheuche, den Zinnmann, den Feigen Löwen und noch vielen anderen zu genießen.Aber auf jeden Fall ist es das vollkommen wert!!!

Pratico ed economico, tutti e 15 volumi dedicato al fantastico mondo di Oz in un unico volume.Consigliato per tutti quelli che amano viaggiare sulle ali della fantasia:-)
