I saw other reviews said they have setup issues. I don't have any. Perhaps they have updated the manual? I also bought a cheap sim card. The sim card need sometime to activate though. (Not complex, but you need to wait for hours)I typically don't write long reviews, but I decided to write for this one, because I was enough with the "pet tracker" market. Before this, I bought another expensive tracker with fancy website and app with $150 who claimed a "6-miles range in open area". But that one only does 300ft, only 1% of what they claimed. I was quite angry. Then I did some research, know more about the pet trackers on the market. Here is what I know as an outsider:1. There are 2 types of technology provides location info: GPS, or radio. Both of them don't need subscription fee. (Yeah yeah and LBS, wifi, bluetooth beacon etc. But these are barely used on an outdoor pet tracker.)2. After the tracker knows where it is, it needs to send that infomation to you. 3 types of technolodgy were used: bluetooth, Cellular network, or radio. Bluetooth and radio don't need subscription fee, but has a range limit. Celluar network need subscription fee (either from the tracker's provider, or you buy your own sim card) but no range limit.3. More about the range limit: radio can have a long range if they were made to have. Bluetooth's range is 100 meter, or 328 ft. For cellular network, you need to make sure you are in their coverage area.4. There is no amazing new front edge technology in outdoor pet trackers.Then I bought this tracker. I am pretty sure I know what it will do, and of course it just do things right. I will give it a five star. I saw people talk about Chinese in their manual. I didn't see any. I saw one line of "Wish you a safe day" in Chinese in their app, but that doesn't bother me. I have to say their app isn't good looking at all. I mean, I was buying a tracker for my dog, what I need is my dog's location. I don't care about an app's visual design.

It is good for me. I can track my dog and find it very quckily.
