Very Happy With All Features!
This is the 2nd InstaBox product I have purchased and I am VERY happy with the features & quality I am seeing from this company! The W33 does a very good job at each of the aspects it incorporates into the compact cabinet. Here are my thoughts:* Clock: Large, easy to read screen with 3 brightness levels for these old eyes!* Alarm: 2 alarms which allow for one to be 'every day' till cancelled and the other to be a 'one of' for single use. This seems odd, but I've found I actually like this setup better than a conventional 5-2 'day of week' due to my rotating work schedule. Also, the alarm can be set for USB, radio, or buzzer and the buzzer is sufficiently loud!* Audio: Audio clarity is excellent for this size of enclosure. Highs are clear and lows have bass without distortion even at high volume. The tuner for the FM radio is strong and pulls in stations very well with minimal selectivity issues. Bluetooth was easy to pair and allowed easy controls with great range.* Wireless Charging: Quick & easy! Set your wireless capable phone reasonably close to the center of the 'bullseye' on the back half of the radio and don't worry about fumbling for cords! The ~only~ downside to this great radio is that there is not an LED indicator to verify visually that the phone is indeed wireless charging. The price for the W33 InstaBox is not one of the lowest on the market, but I cannot say enough about how impressive this radio is in ALL aspects of what it is designed to do. I would recommend this product and won't be surprised to find myself with more InstaBox products coming home in the future.

The InstaBox has GREAT STEREO SOUND !
The Insta-Box W33 is a new addition to the “FM radio/Clock/Bluetooth speaker” category from Radioddity. The W33 also adds the WIRELESS phone charging to its feature set. Phones that come wireless charging “ready” can be charged with this unit. See the list of applicable phones by searching for InstaBox W33 on Amazon. When the unit arrived I was excited and wanted to put it into operation immediately. I removed everything from the box and plugged the “wall-wart” into an available AC receptacle……..NOTHING happened! My handy multi-meter told me the power module had no output.Someone at Radioddity had already sent me an e-mail message, to thank me for my purchase. I pulled up the message and sent a reply, telling of my problem. A quick response said I could return the whole thing and get a replacement (from Amazon). I had pointed out that I had a few decades of electronic experience and would like to fabricate a module myself. I was told it was up to me. I found an orphaned 5 volt module in my “junk box” and added the right connector. When I plugged it in, it came to LIFE! I proceeded to scan for FM stations, which was very easy. Station frequencies were automatically stored – for the whole FM band. I picked a station from the memory and I was pleasantly surprised. The music had a good mix of high, mid and low tones. The sound was crystal clear, even when I cranked up the volume (for test purposes). I got to about 75% on the volume, and it had not distorted. I didn’t go any higher because the module I was using was only rated at 2amps. The factory supply is rated at 3amps.A couple of days later I got another message from Radioddity, asking how I was doing with the unit. I wrote back and requested a replacement “factory” power module, because mine was only rated for 2amps. The word back said they would have one sent to me from the factory.I continued to use the radio while waiting for the new power supply. The module was delivered by DHL, from China, in less than a week! It had only been four days since our last correspondence. That’s GOOD Customer Service. The new module is now connected and working fine. I want to crank up the volume (as a test) when I’m alone in the house. I will post an audio update soon, as well as results of wireless phone charging. One thing I don’t like is the color of the remote control - it’s black and gray – very hard to see the unless light is hitting it directly. The photos look much better than when the remote is being used in a normal environment. After using is for a couple of days, I don’t have to really look at the remote to do what I want.I’m going to conduct some tests on wireless charge-times and W33 volume characteristics. I will update this review when I have more information.

Excellent Product. Time will tell on durability. Read the manual first!
This is the InstaBox W33 with FM radio review. Upon unboxing, everything is well packaged to protect from damage during shipping. The unit is a nice compact size with the majority of the buttons located on top. With just a few moments with the manual, you will have your clock set and radio going. Regarding the radio, it was a little confusing when it states there are 20 presets. When setting up the radio, it scans the frequencies and presets all available stations — until all 20 presets are filled. You do not have a choice to select specific stations such as preset 1 to be 93.1, as an example. However...once the stations are set, selecting one station to the next is simply clicking the forward/backward buttons to go from one to the next. Not terribly convenient, however, not too bothersome either. The units structure feels solid and well built. The buttons feel a little mushy but durable over time. I do expect to see the surface area cracking over time since the top smooth surface flexes when buttons are pressed. The sound quality is very good for a unit of this type. And the volume levels are exceptional. They go from a very faint to a rocking it while the spouse is gone levels. The alarm settings are easy enough as is setting the time. But you need to refer to the manual to do so. It’s not too intuitive. The time setting button is on the back — had I not reviewed the manual I would have never found the “time” button it referred to — assuming all buttons were on top.The charger on top works as expected and even charges my AirPods. The smallest concern is the manual. And I mean small because the text is so small. I had to use the magnifier on my phone to actually see the text in the diagrams for the buttons. InstaBox, you should increase the text by 2pts in size. The AUX cable is included to connect other devices which do not use the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connected without hesitation or issue. And it can be used in conjuction with the two alarms. Very nice as well.I would give it a 4-star because of the manual but that’s not fair to the product itself. That’s one some cheap executive at the company whose trying to save a buck on printing the manual.
