When I first made this order the company shipped the wrong item. But, they corrected it immediately and overnighted the correct item (plus two samplers). I had the Chicken A La King the first time - it cooked well (definitely let it soak until soft, we were in a hurry as it was cold and I ate mine before it got to that point). I won't say the taste was my favorite but I also don't like Chicken A La King in general - my girlfriend though it was great. I am anxious to try the macaroni and cheese on my next strip (I have high expectations for that one). Customer service was excellent; I highly recommend!

Good taste if you follow full cooking instructions
The taste was pretty good but it depends what you have to cook with. For backpacking, I prefer to use freeze dried products that you can let hot water sit in, and it fully cooks, which did not work with this meal. This pack here required 20 minutes of boiling, which I didn't want to use all of my jetboil fuel on. I gave it a 4 star because the taste was good, but these noodles require a full boil and would be better if you can boil for the full 20 mins.

Tasty stuff
For a freeze dried meal, this is a pretty good addition to your emergency food supply. I would cut back a little on the amount of water recommended. I prefer my chili a bit thicker. But the taste was pretty good and it was a filling meal. Personally one pack would provide a meal for 2 or maybe 3 people.

Buy Valley Food Storage
I love the Valley Food Storage brand. I have bought several of their products now. I love the packaging and reseal-ability of the mylar bags. The food turns into a good amount of delicious food. 5 servings in-fact. I was lucky too catch this particular product on a sale. But I would buy it again sale or not. Buy your food storage from Valley Food Storage. Forget the other guys, you will get way more calories in real actual food, not in drinks and juices. Prepare for an emergency, or go camping with it. Works both ways.
