Seriously the best ...
I've been using shea butter mixed with various oils for my skin and hair for years. Before I heard about this brand, I was using one from Mountain Rose Herbs, who I LOVE and get many things from. While I'm pretty loyal to MRH, this Raw Apothecary blew them out the water. The butter is creamy and off-white in color, not yellow. It smells very true to the shea the Africans would sell at the flea market down south - smells like the real deal. I don't even have to add a lot of oils to this version, because it's always filled with its natural oils. After doing some research on fair trade shea butters, I discovered that unrefined shea should keep its oils. Also high quality shea is often ivory/off white, but this can also depend on the tree or shea nut it self. I'm sure you're tired of reading (if you've held on this long) so long story short: buy this Shea butter! I make my shea butter mixtures for various family members, and even they can tell the difference since I made the switch to this brand about a year ago! No more crusty feet and dry skin... even in cold Ohio winters :)

For an eczema sufferer, a godsend
This product is plain and simple: no alcohol, no preservatives, and does not irritate in the least.This wonderful product is perfect, especially when used with Manuka Honey. We have purchased multiple bottles of "Organic Manuka Honey Intense Moisture Skin Baby Cream by ZibaDel Creations" The synthetic steroid ointments now get applied intermittently.If anyone reading this review has ever had a problem with eczema that is resistant to conventional creams and steroids, you must try both of these products. I was skeptical. Not any more.The only negative is that the "butter' is a bit hard; it is not soft like a cream. I scoop it out with a spoon and warmi it up in the microwave for 30 seconds. Much easier to apply.But don't let that deter you. Trust me, you won't believe the results. No more aquafor or other commercial synthetic lotions and creams.Good luck to all of you who benefit from this review.

THIS brand of Shea Butter is the BEST! I am now a lifetime customer and will always repurchase this brand. It surpasses any other type of shea butter on the market in my opinion. I appreciate the fact that it is pure with no additives or scent added. It really does work. This just arrived two days ago and both my daughter and husband are also using this daily. I love the way it penetrates dry skin for a noticeably softer feel. Great to use after shaving as well. Did I mention it works great on feet? Just give it a little time to soak in or wear socks before going to bed to keep it off your sheets. I LOVE this product and this company almost as much as I love Costco and that is saying a lot. LOL Finally, a product that does what it says, is reasonably priced and is free of toxins. Oh, and I am not being sponsored in any way to tap dance about this product. I paid full price and will happily do so again. Please don't stop making this wonderful product! ( I will now put the pom poms down and stop the cheers. ) ; )

Super fast shipping
I ordered my package on a Sunday and it arrived the next day. Super fast shipping. The first thing I did when I opened the product was check for the hole in the center everyone keeps referring to. There was no hole in mine, only a small dent and this could be due to a variety of things one of them being warm environmental conditions. I even took a comb and poked through the dent only to be met with layers of shea butter. Next, I smelled the product. Everyone keeps talking about a certain rancid smell. I'll say this, mine has a strong natural nutty scent. Gave me a slight headache upon impact but after I let it sit open on my dresser for a few days, the smell became lighter. Those of you who may have had a bad experience with the product, I am sorry that you did. Might have been a bad batch or rough shipping conditions. No one's perfect but please don't be heavy-handed and insensitive with your reviews since YOU CAN RETURN THE PRODUCT and get your money back. Finally, I love the simplicity of the jar and the brand design. The jar is big and deep with lots of shea butter to last you 3 to 4 months. The butter is a creamy white color. The texture is like butter, not clumpy or grainy. It melts into my skin and my skin feels instantly hydrated and soft after one application. I also have a wonderful summer glow as a result and got lots of compliments on my skin. Don't rely only on shea butter to protect your skin from sun damage. Please apply your sunscreen generously on your face, neck, and upper chest over your shea butter. People of color burn too, haha.

Once you use this shea butter all others will pale in comparison. I always like to have a backup product in case something happens and I can't get my first choice, so I decided to order another shea butter. I ended up throwing it in the trash. It didn't have the consistency of this shea butter nor the nice nutty, chocolatey aroma. This shea butter is superior in so many ways. I have a puppy so between the little puppy nips and bites I have scratches which I apply the shea butter on and it heals them very well. A couple of slight discolorations and stretch marks have faded using this shea butter as well as keeping my dry skin perfectly moisturized. I find myself digging in the jar putting some on all the time because it just feels so luxurious and I love the way my skin feel and looks so healthy and radiant. I use this in conjunction with African black soap and my skin has never felt better. I wish the company would consider making this in larger sizes because I go through it so fast.

I just received this Shea butter. I've been using it right out of the jar on my face. I had a severe allergic reaction to Dial Peach Kids Wash & have huge dry patches on my face as it heals. This stuff is a life saver. My face looks so much better (over night). It is greasy but I like it much better than Vaseline. It has a slight nutty smell. It reminds me of cocoa butter but it's not as strong. This will be something that I keep on hand especially during the winter months. Some reviewers have complained of grit but this stuff melts in my hand & the grit is gone.
