The Canon Double-Sided Matte Photo Paper has become my absolute go-to for all of my printing needs. As someone who relies heavily on high-quality cardstock to run my business, consistency and performance are everything and this cardstock delivers every single time. The print quality is beautiful, with sharp, vibrant images and a clean matte finish that gives everything a professional look. I’ve tested countless other brands of cardstock over time, and nothing compares. This paper truly stands above the rest. I used to swear by Inkpress, but after switching, I can confidently say Canon’s matte paper is not only comparable—it’s even better, and more cost-effective. That was a game changer for me. The thickness is perfect for a wide range of projects, from invitations to custom prints. It feeds smoothly through my printer and performs reliably without curling or smudging. When you’re running a business, having a paper you can trust is essential and this is one I know I can count on every time. Highly recommend!

If you are making MTG proxies, this is hands down the best double-sided matte photo paper out there. Out of the printer, it comes in at about 10.8 mil thick, which is just a hair shy of a standard 12 mil MTG card. It lacks a bit of the rigid snap of a real card, but laminating your proxy completely solves that. I tested this out using 3 mil laminating pouches in both glossy and matte. Here is how they compare: If you play unsleeved, the glossy finish shuffles a lot easier since there is less friction. The colors really pop (you would never guess it was printed on matte paper), but you definitely get some glare under the right lights. With the matte pouches, the colors are slightly muted but still look amazing. You get absolutely zero glare, making the text super easy to read in any lighting. It feels phenomenal in hand, but the texture is a bit grippier, making it harder to shuffle raw. For the sleeve players, a proxy laminated with 3 mil pouches matches the exact thickness of a real MTG card inside a perfect-fit inner sleeve. Throw a standard outer sleeve on it, and your finished proxies feel exactly the same as playing with a double-sleeved deck. Highly recommend!

This paper is great! Nice print, sharp and vibrant, and not overly pricey for double sided printing. I used it to print anniversary cards for guests and everyone commented on how nice the prints were and asked where we printed them. The paper is a nice weight, it never got stuck, and the ink adheres like a professional print shop printed it. The paper feels expensive in hand, with a nice, almost soft touch surface that exudes luxury. My wife and I plan to use this paper for our Christmas cards this year and look forward to the results, knowing how good our previous prints turned out. I originally used my canon printer with this paper but have gotten equally good results with our Epson Ecotank printer as well.

Honestly, I was expecting these to be like the regular cardstock I buy from Michael’s. But boy was I wrong! I did a test print of an art piece that I recently finished, and the results were incredible! I used my Canon Pixma G620 printer, so that may have something to do with the beautiful quality of my test print. I will definitely be repurchasing these papers again! The price is great too!

Bought this paper to print proxy game pieces/cards. Happy with overall product thoigh the end result was better realized with glossy photo paper.
