Must purchase
After endless research, this was the one. So glad I decided to purchase this brand and model. Easy to put together and we used pea gravel or stone instead of sand. Great and sturdy.

Great set of pool stairs and hack to weigh front down
We got these steps last year to replace a vertical ladder that broke. I get painful foot cramps that many times brought on by the pressure the rungs of a traditional ladder on the soles of my feet. These steps solved that problem so i would recommend them for anyone who has similar foot or other issues like back problems using a deck ladder. Before i put the stairs in for a second year i wanted to fix the issue some other customers reported where do to buoyancy the front part of the stairs tend to lift up a couple of inches. I the solution that i used was inexpensive, unobtrusive, easy to install and has solved the problem. I used a precut two foot 4inch in diameter PVC pipe, two end caps, 36 inch zip ties and bag of cement. I used pvc glue to affix one end cap and filled cement and glued other end cap and let it set over night. Then turn over the stairs over so the bottom step was faceup on the deck. Drill 4 holes into the riser of the bottom stairs as shown. Measure or simply use the PVC pipe as a guide drill 4 companion holes above the pipe insert the tails of the zip on the bottom hole and back up and out throught the top hole so you can get better leverage to pull the zip tie tight towards you. The 4 zips seem to have done their job and hold the weight securely in place. The zips being on the front bottom riser rather than the blue stair are barely noticeable and the weight is doing its job as the stairs now rest flatly on the pool liner. Otherwise these the family love the stairs, they are sturdy enough to sit on and makes getting in and out of the pool a breeze.

Very happy with these stairs!
My whole extended family loves our pool and some of us are getting a little bit older so weโve been thinking of adding stairs for a long time. This year one of my sisters had shoulder surgery and literally could no longer use the ladder. So it was time to finally get the stairs. I read loads of reviews and decided on these. Although I have to say I was expecting them to be flimsy because of the super affordable price. I was pleasantly surprised by their sturdiness. First let me say that the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is about the issue of weighing them down. To be honest we didnโt even try to fill them with sand because of other reviews that were unhappy with sand sifting into the pool. We opted for weighted bags ( purchased on Amazon very economically) filled with sand. We first put trash bags into the pool bags then filled those with sand and tied them off to keep the sand from sifting out. We used zip ties to secure the bags to the stairs. It took 4 bags with a total of approximately 100 lb. of sand to securely hold them down. We put a pool mat ( also purchased on Amazon) under the stairs to protect the liner. Now having said all this, I feel like these stairs are an amazing value. They are very easy to assemble and are super sturdy. I would advise having a partner to help with assembly to hold and support, and to place the completed stairs into the pool. The handrails arenโt meant to be pulled on but rather just to steady you as you walk up & down. Also we added screws where the two parts of the handrails come together and that helped make them feel much more secure. This wasnโt part of the assembly instructions but it made sense to us. Another concern I had was that they would take up a lot of space in the pool. They really donโt. They have a narrow profile form the wall but at the same time offer generous stair treads that are very comfortable to walk up & down. Probably most decks are wood or composite. Our is steel (a Kayak) so we did have to buy a titanium drill bit. We used 2 screws on each brace and they are very secure. So far theyโve only been in the pool for a few weeks so I canโt comment on long term durability but so far we couldnโt be happier with them. I would have expected them to cost much more than they do. I wish Iโd found them years ago. We feel like adding the stairs has made the pool more accessible and much more enjoyable for everyone. If youโve been considering adding stairs to your pool I would recommend these without hesitation.

These Pool Stairs are Perfect!
I am so happy I bought these stairs. They were easy to put together, sturdy, adjustable and just the right width. I did add a couple more holes for them to fill with water and you will need stair weights to keep them from floating up but I am super impressed. I used two 4โ pvc pipes filled with concrete and heavy duty zip ties and have had no issues. Highly recommend.

Ease of access stepping in and out of the pool!
Love this ladder was a great purchase! We read that people used pvc pipe with cement in it to weight down the ladder and used zip ties to secure them in place. We used approx two 3foot pvc filled with cement worked perfectly with a combined total weight of 40lbs. No need to use sand itโs messy. Overall very pleased. Loved the blue stairs too. The railings are are little flimsy but they are only used to guide you in the pool. We are not hanging the the railings.

Perfect Pool Steps: Well made, sturdy and wide
These steps are perfect! I love it. I'm 75 and that ladder just didn't work for my knees anymore. These have given me back my pool. First the steps themselves are not slippery. They are nubby but feel comfortable under bare feet. The whole thing is well made and sturdy. I'm not a light weight and the handrails work great. Be sure to follow the advice from the reviewer who tells you how to attach a cement filled PVC pipe under the bottom step. We filled only with water - no sand. We followed the directions of the reviewer and made a cement filled PVC pipe and zipped tied it under the bottom step. It stays right where we put it without messy sand. We have a tiled deck and pool edge so instead of drilling holes and screwing down the positioning arms we tied them off to spikes with eye holes in the ground outside the pool edge. Works great.

So happy with my purchase! Comfortable, sturdy, and reasonably priced!
I'M SO HAPPY WITH THESE POOL STAIRS! We purchased these steps in the beginning of the season for our 24' round above ground pool, but I wanted to wait until we had to take them out of the pool to give a full review. We had to switch out our a-frame ladder for different steps because this summer we built a deck off the back of our pool. Also, we have a dog and thought these would help him to get in and out of the pool easily. The shipping was super fast and the instructions were clear and easy. They are sturdy, look nice, and the price is reasonable. I read each and every review here beforehand and used some of the suggestions, which I will point out. Filling them up with the recommended amount of sand was not hard at all, but it did leak out a little upon placement in the pool. Not a lot, but it's worth mentioning. Even after filling with the sand and water, the steps still floated a bit. We decided to take some gravel and fill the 2 bottom pieces (2 bases) where the sides connect. We also used some silicone caulk around the openings of those bottom pieces. We didn't purchase a pool mat, but instead purchased a $10 yoga mat to protect the liner. The mat didn't want to stay down, so we cut 2 long strips for the bottom of each side and zip-tied them on. (We tried to caulk them to the bottom of each side, but the caulk didn't hold all season long.) Lastly, we used more screws to attach to the deck than they provided. They give you plenty of holes, but only a few screws for that part. It really helped strengthen the railing. We did need to build a little step up from the deck to the top of the Confer stairs because we built our deck to go right under the top rail of the pool. Also, the stairs didn't sit back far enough to the pool wall because we have a larger cove at the bottom than most I guess. We needed to move them away from the pool wall so they would sit flat, and that required more of a platform on the deck. I wish I could get my pool vacuum behind the steps, so it gets a little dirty back there. (That's really my only complaint!!) As far as removal for winter, I was in the pool pushing up on them, while my husband and 13 year old were pulling them up onto the deck. I was afraid it would be terribly heavy with all that sand, water, and the gravel we put in the bases. It wasn't bad at all! All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend them to anyone!

much better than the ladder we had with the pool
I bought these because I have leg problems and the regular ladder that came with the pool made me nervous. I worried about my foot slipping on the narrow rungs. This ladder makes me feel secure as I climb into pool (we got two, one for the outside and one for the inside of the pool). Only concern is that I think we didn't get the rails as secure as I would like. They wobble a bit.

Overall great stairs! Easy to build!
These pool stairs are great! They are a bit wider than others weโve had and have good grip. Good for all ages and can accommodate those with mobility challenges as well. We chose not to fill the stairs fully with sand. Disclaimer: we started to fill the stairs but it became clear they would be too heavy and challenging to remove from the pool at the end of the season. These stairs do not accommodate sand containers that you would place on the underside (this review would have been 5 stars had these stairs come with an alternative weighted option). We weighed down the stairs with waterproof bags and fire glass- worked great! See photo-
