The Oil Collection Essential Oils Aromatherapy Diffuser Locket Necklace

UPDATED REVIEW: After I posted my initial review (see below) I was contacted by the seller and offered a replacement necklace. I accepted and received a new necklace and another necklace as well for my trouble. GREAT customer service! My new necklace had the standard jump ring replaced with a closed ring so the locket wouldn't keep slipping off. So even though I feel the piece that attaches to the ring is still too thin and probably prone to breaking off without great care, the replacement of the ring is a good solution and I appreciate the trouble the seller went to. They also send me another completely different necklace ... also an aromatherapy locket ... which was better quality and I feel will hold up nicely. For this I have updated my review from 3 stars to 4. Thank you Sara. :-)----------------------------------------------------I like the front design of the locket and the hinges that open it, but that is about it. The ring on the top side of the locket that loops into the ring on the chain is so thin and flimsy it keeps slipping through the chain ring and coming off. I've had to use pliers to cross-close the chain ring so the locket won't keep slipping off it. Also that ring (the one attached to the locket) is so incredibly thin, I am afraid it will easily break off the locket. So even though the necklace is obviously incredibly cheaply made, I would still be happier if it felt like it would last longer than I fear it actually will. They provided a nice long chain with it which is also very cheap but does have a lobster claw clasp. All in all, I guess you get what you pay for. I will enjoy it as long as I can, which will probably be until that flimsy little ring finally breaks off, which shouldn't take long.

I thought I ought to write a review right away on this necklace/diffuser because, honestly, I don't think the pictures do it justice. To me, at least, the picture makes this look a little bulky, so I was nervous about ordering it and kept putting it off, looking at others, before I finally decided to take a gamble. The price, I confess, is what convinced me to try it despite doubts about how cheap it might look.This arrived earlier today and it is beautiful and quite delicate-looking. I anticipate a great many complements over it because of how nice it looks. I also appreciate that they give you a few of the pads (you put your oils on the pad and then put it inside) to get started, as the pads I ordered for it are much too large and will need to be trimmed down in order to fit.As to the benefits of this diffuser, i.e. the real reason to buy it: I tried it out right away, and it works flawlessly. I use essential oils for a myriad of things. I use them for my overall health, for migraines, to help heal injuries quicker, to safely improve my mood, to help me sleep, to help with stress, etc. Honestly, just about any issue you have can usually be dealt with effectively and thoroughly using essential oils. A diffuser like this one is great for when you need to go to work, class, run errands, etc. It allows just enough of the scent to reach me to be effective without making me smell overpowering to those around me.

I love the antiqued-brass look of this locket, and it does a great job diffusing my essential oils. I bought it quite some time ago (over a year ago), and I have been impressed with how well it has held up, especially given that the chain is a bit delicate-looking. I wear the necklace at least a couple times per week, and it is in great shape. Also, I am a teacher and have sometimes attached it to my lanyard to wear around my neck at work, so it has gotten a lot of use and still looks great!

Beautiful and highly detailed metal piece that opens up (clasp at the top and hinge at the bottom) to reveal a tiny felt pad that holds your favorite essential oils. Mine came with 2 black and 1 white felt pads. A drop of oil is definitely enough to saturate the felt and smell all day long if you're using quality oils. The locket is a lovely and intricately decorated piece that can be worn as a statement but also won't overwhelm if you want to wear other jewelry. The clasp mechanism is like most lockets, you just pry open the locket and snap it closed - the clasp and entire piece is sturdy for the thickness. I like that the chain is longer so the oils aren't so close to my face. The price seems pretty fair - I'd pay this much for a pendant necklace even if it didn't also function as a diffuser. Love this piece and will wear it frequently.

So as many of you have come to realize my reviews can get verbose. However in this case I thought I'd quickly summarize why I gave the 4 starsPros: both the chain the locker are exceptionally beautiful. I happened to put in near my crystal pyramid and the shapes and colors transmitted were beautiful.So far no irritation of the skin. However make sure you test. Surgical steel staples caused me a rather massive infection so it is possible to allergicIt's definitely a good diffusing locket.ConsBe careful what you choose as the media for essential oil. I bought the packet of disks which at the size of a quarter they are just. Too big. But other options just wouldn't be a good fitA little oil goes a long way if you accidentally pour one or more big drops it will leak on you. Be sure it's not an irritant as some can be.
