The book content itself is wonderful and I really do want a copy
The first book I received had a four inch tear in the binding inside the back cover and two crushed corners. The second book has a crushed and ripped corner. Any new book should be in pristine condition. The book content itself is wonderful and I really do want a copy. Seems the only way I can get an undamaged copy of this book is to go to a bookstore.

I've seen better.
1. How you can have a book of world history and not have a single map in it is a mystery.2. The super short entries are listed sequentially strictly by year so that Chinese history is jumbled in with European history and African hx and the Middle East, etc. The result is that it is impossible to track the history of any one area.
