Great pot, but I wish it was easier to pour from if I'm just boiling up some water to drink.

I have taken a picture of this one slot where whatever the coating(waterproofing?) looks "smudged". Before I fire it up for the first time, what concerns me is that in the middle of the smudge, I can feel the bare fabric. I am hoping this doesn't meant it leaks. Will report back after first use(I just got thru a gentle hand wash wish hot water, mild detergent per the instructions).I DID read that Bear Minimum's quality control is apparently drunk. But save trying to make this fabric and coating myself, I have been wanting a Snapfold cookout for a while. I was encouraged by hearing about some customer's experience with the company, and how they made things right.Hoping I won't need to do the same.

I bought this little guy to climb Mt. Adams a few weeks ago. It was great! I needed it solely for melting snow for water and then boiling water to make my food for the trip. The only not great thing was a I would lose a little water when pouring it out but even that wasn't a big deal at all. I will most likely purchase another small on and a larger one to use on other backpacking trips. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to explore the diversity of its uses but I am eager to.

Sturdy construction and lightweight. I have never seen a folding pot design like this but it is quite functional. Just heed the other reviews and wrap the base in tinfoil if you have to use it over open flames. I found this worked best shoveling coals out of my fire into a shallow pit with a cooking tripod over it. Plenty of heat for your pot without the damaging flames.

The product came in broken. I sent them an e-mail and they sent me a new one. They contacted me very quickly, have excellent customer service, and a great product. Definitely worth a buy if your looking for a portable pot that breaks down very small.

After purchase, reviews started showing up that unit was of poor quality and the aluminum bottom would burn up. Wanted it as an emergency unit, but now feel I cannot trust it to work as needed.

This product is easy to use and easy to clean. It has a good capacity for one person, or two light eaters and heats quickly over a gas flame. It folds flat and takes up little room in a backpack, and is very lightweight.

In the photos, you will notice a snap with a loop on one side with no apparent purpose. Also, the loop to disconnect the paracord handle was extremely short, almost worthless. I tried to contact the actual manufacturer several times to clarify whether or not I had received a prototype or second with no response from them. Although I am sure the pot would probably work, it is not what was advertised and I felt like I was the victim of bait and switch. I returned the item. I am not sure I will reorder.
