I love my new thermostat. I never thought I would have the need to say that. 😀 I am new to living in Florida and this winter the weather has been a bit colder than I anticipated. My old thermostat did not auto adjust. I kept forgetting to turn on the heat at night. I was waking up to temps in the 60s. Brrr! At a previous house I had an auto adjusting thermostat which switched from air to heat and vice versa as needed to keep temps comfortable. I settled on this one for the following reasons:1. Price - very reasonable for a smart device.2. Ease of use - I wanted something with not a lot of complex bells and whistles, but that could be easily installed and easily operated at the device or on my phone.3. Aesthetics - Has a nice interface and is kinda cute.4. Additional information - the app provides some additional useful info like the weather outside, the service records of my hvac unit, the expiration date of the uv bulb in my hvac unit, etc.5. Compatibility - which probably should have been #1. It had to work with my unit. I have a dual AC/furnace which is only 5 years old. I did run the Compatibility checker, which I highly recommend.Haven't found any downsides yet. Will update if I do.

This is an excellent thermostat however I feel it should be installed by a professional if you don't have some previous basic knowledge of hvac or you are not somewhat of an above average handy man. This one works well with my heat pump with electric back up in an 1800 sq ft home. I couldn't set one of the features required for set up because of my rural location but Ocobe support was able to send an update to my unit on line within about 30 min. just for my location. They are much easier to work with than the other brand and a real person answered the phone. It is easy to use by controlling it from your phone from any where. I had my own hvac business years ago and so did my brother. We are both retired but I still feel qualified to recommend this unit.

So far it's working great I have to learn how to program it. It would have gotten the 5th star if the wall plate was included

This was 100% worth the money. It was easy to set up/get hooked up to HVAC system!It’s super user friendly & I love that I can set temperatures for sleep, home and away. You can even set a temperature for “vacation” which I have not had the opportunity to use yet.I love the ease of mind I have now that I can keep an eye on the temperature of my house when I’m at work, making sure that my animals are at a comfortable temperature!The fact that you can set it to “auto” and set cooling temperatures and heating temperatures, not having to flip a switch back and forth is so nice.An up side - it has the weather on it, and if you live in a super humid place it’ll adjust the temperature based on the humidity by just kicking the fan on instead of turning the actual cooling aspect on. I love that it also shows the humidity level in your house.There’s so many good things about this product, but what it comes down to is that it’s 100% worth the money.I haven’t had it long enough to know about money savings on my electricity bill but I think it’ll help a bit!

Replaced my old Nest showing wiring config errors for no reason with the ecobee. Immediately fixed issues with the ecobee install. Took less than 30 minutes with a new wall plate. App was easy to install and navigate. The ecobee system looks nice and even has a multi day forecast screen. Not much more to say than it wasn't too terribly expensive, looks good, easy to install without a professional. Just use common sense and turn your home environmental system off before you do anything. NOTE: The ecobee did go thru a short period of updating/testing before it actually activated. Took mine about 15 min or so. Just be patient.

We really like all the features. We love it, it has really helped us to keep the temperature control according to our schedules. Installation was so easy. Love how we have a schedule that allows us to reduce the on of the ac machine. It’s a life changer. Totally recommend it.
